Oh wow. Lol. I’m glad my fandom grandma rants are entertaining and so are the political rants because I get afraid I’m going too far some times tb. Being queer down here is a trip and a half isn’t it? Man. I getting real tired of your shit Anakin is like the queer souther theme song. LOL. Given a choice, Rictus always sits at Max’s feet. He feels comfortable there. At ease. His shoulders unknots and his spine relaxes. On the good days, he lets himself rest his head on Max’s knee. On the best days, Max runs his hand over his scalp over and over again, petting him into a dream-like state that Rictus never experienced before or anywhere else.

Valhalla can’t be better. It just can’t be. It reminds him whenever he doubts his choices that he did the right thing. He is here, Max touches him, and he knows he chose well.

He takes the quads to the greenery in the morning on the day his life changes to play with the goats. Well, they’re too young to do more than drool on his chest and look at the goats but he has enough arms to carry him and Max is helping Furiosa with political affairs. Rictus doesn’t have the mind for it. He knows that.

But he has the heart to care for the children and he knows how to be gentle. He brings bottles with Max’s milk in them for the babies and cloths to change them if they need it and watches them crawl in the grass under the windmills.

They are happy. They make cooing noises and pile together like Rictus never did with his brother. They sprawl on his chest in the sunshine and drool on his skin as they sleep. Sky always keeps his hand on Flower and Flower leans his small head back towards his brother as they sleep. Liberty twitches in her sleep and Lovely sprawls on his back across Rictus’ stomach spread eagle and carefree. They are already so strong. They don’t even know it but they are.

He is happy to bring them back to their mother and surrogate mothers. The Wives coo over Max’s sons and daughter and never let their feet touch the floor when they could be holding them instead. The Dag holds extra tight to Liberty, filling the hole where her daughter would be.

Rictus stops by Max’s room, small and dark and carved into the rock, hesitantly. “The wives have the quads,” he says.

“They’re not wives anymore,” Max growls.

“No,” Rictus agrees and smiles. He does not miss his father. “They are queens.”

Max looks up at him with bright eyes and open, wet lips.  “Good. Do you think they can keep them for a day or two?”

“I didn’t ask.”

"Shotgun it."

The words escape Gilfoyle before he can stop them—not that he wants to stop them, though. If he's going to agonize over fucking some dickbag stoner with crooked facial hair, the least he can do is stand by his own desires. Do what thou wilt, he thinks, and smirks when Erlich stares at him like he's misheard.

2. Is there a ship you didn’t like at first but ultimately started shipping?

I was not a fan of Stiles/Lydia of Teen Wolf at the begining. It was too...Nice Guy(TM) but man, I loved how they grew. I loved how they grew up and how they grew together. Those are not the same thing but they both happened and that was bliss. It was nice to have a het ship.

I also was not a Flint/Silver shipper on Black Sails but lo, Season 3 happened and suddenly they are my jam. Who knows man?8. Your oldest ship; the one you’ve shipped for the longest time?

I have 2 answers for this. One is my first ship, back when I had no idea what a ship was and the other is my first real fandom.

My very oldest ship is Alan Stuart/Davey Balfour from Kidnapped by Robert Louis Stevenson. That’s right. My first slash ship was of a pair of characters that were more than 100 years old. I was 9 and I listened to the audiobook. I thought they should kiss. I remembered I had such a crush Alan JFC. He was so damn charming. “For I bear a king’s name.” You fucking rake you. I had no idea that was a ship for a long time though.

My first ship was Wolverine and Rogue from the original X-men movie, the one that was just called X-Men. It came out in July of 2000 but I got ahold of the novelization in like...April or May. After I saw the film I was like “wtf they are not like siblings, where’s the romance.” I went him and typed wolverine rogue romance stories into the AOL browser and that was it. That was the end. I fell into fandom and I never came out. It’s been 17 years. I don’t regret a single fucking second and I still ship them.

14. Is there a ship you feel gets undeserved hate in fandom?

God, I was around for a long time before shipping wars started on tumblr you guys. So, like, I remember when people sorta lived and let live? This concept of people getting shit for a ship is really weird to me, at least coming from fandom. I have seen it coming from outside fandom (looking at you Harry Potter lawyers, Anne Rice, Anne McCaffrey, and literally any other slash-bashing queer-bating, fanfiction-shaming creator and outsider ever) but inside fandom? I don’t know, I hear Shiro/Keith seems to be getting a lot of bullshit lately but I like my fandom echo chamber so I dont see it. 

*Snaps* OH! Okay! I thought of one. The Hydra Trash Party. That’s not technically a ship but man, we get hate we don’t deserve for playing in our ow fucking sandbox. JFC back button already losers. 28. Is there a character you have several ships for?

Foggy....is blindfolded?

I’m in the same 501 section! And I just had to register for 504 because I’m a GA for RIS. I have two other classes, so I need to drop one so I’m back to 12 credits. I don’t know if I’m doing a specialization or not, but I’ll probably also be doing the minor in queer studies.
