Xkit & CUTTING REPLIES

XKit is what helps and allows you to cut your posts (as you’re required to do so according to our rules).

First off, (assuming you use Google Chrome or Firefox) head to the app store and download it. It’s this one. The new one.

After downloading it, when you head to Tumblr, there’ll be a new fun button along the top. It’s the second one from the right (the round one with lines through it).

Click that button and a small window will pop up. Head to ‘Get extensions’ and search for the “Editable Reblogs” extension. Add that one.

Now, when you go to do replies, a small edit button will appear. (the little pencil icon)

Make sure you click that button. It should turn from white (like in the picture above) to agree. That’s a signal that it’s worked and is done.

Now you will be able to delete your entire previous reply (like shown ABOVE), and only have your roleplay partners reply (like shown BELOW). This is known as cutting your post. Huzzah.

GIFS

First and foremost, we really recommend that you do not rely on the gif search button to find your gifs.

To find appropriate gifs, you’ll want to search “https://www.tumblr.com/tagged/firstname-lastname-gif-hunt”. 

For example, I search https://www.tumblr.com/tagged/olivia-holt-gif-hunt for Bryoni. 

Most gif hunts will let you know what size the gifs are and quality. You want to aim for medium to small HQ gifs. It is in our rules that we ask you to not use huge gifs.

From here, you have two options.

You can either save the gifs to your computer and always have them for whenever you want them (A guide on how to save gifs from a gif hunt can be found here). Or you can just open gif hunts when you need them and copy and paste a gif when you need it.

To add a gif that you have saved, click under your reply text and then click the small camera icon (the one on the far left).

To add gifs straight from a gif hunt, you want to right-click and copy the URL of the gif you want, then paste that URL into the reply where you want the gif to be. The URL should turn straight into the gif.

In the meantime, I’m aiming to get Captain Hook out to you all by the end of the day so that the big 4 from Peter Pan are all out there. If there are any other characters you’d like us to prioritize, don’t hold back on telling us. - Char x

Hey guys, gals and non-binary pals. . . 

As we’r sure you’ve all noticed, the main has been getting quieter again as of late and it’s because we’ve been doing some deep thinking. This roleplay was started out of dissatisfaction with other atmospheres the mods had been in, and the want for something better. We truly do feel that we created a welcoming and safe space. We’re so appreciative of anyone who’s ever joined us, regardless of how long they stayed with us for - and especially grateful for anyone who’s been with us since the start!

Unfortunately, regardless of a revamp, we feel like we just didn’t quite have enough juice to get the engine fully started (for lack of a better description). While we’re happy with the space we created, we feel that everyone deserves a space where they have endless opportunities for interaction and always feel like there’s someone there to roleplay and brainstorm ideas with. Libertas just hasn’t become that kind of place! This is obviously not anyone’s fault. 

Roleplaying is a competitive space and we’re so grateful for the 16 months it’s been going. We’re hopeful that you all go on to find other spaces where your creative muscles can be flexed even more! 

So it’s hard to say but from today, Libertas will be closing.

We’ll trim the discord down to only the #general chat so that people are able to chat, exchange details, and talk about where you can all still roleplay with each other. Then, in a week, we’ll be closing that too.

Okay folks, it’s time for a talk about alt FC requests. We’ve had a chat and have come to the following conclusions - Hopefully you’ll all respect and understand them! For ease and future reference, a link to the following information is now on the Navigation page. But we also wanted to announce here in a post!

Are roleplayers allowed to change the FC of a certain character?

Here at Libertas, the mods put a great deal of effort into making sure that the faceclaims available are diverse and also match the character. We do allow FC changes, but we ask that you come to us with specific FCs in mind for a bio e.g. ‘Would this FC work for this character?’ 

Please note the FC alt section of our bios. This will state whether or not we are open to an FC change in the first place. POC FCs can only be changed to POC’s and the same with non-binary and trans FCs (On the flip side, replacing a white FC with a POC FC, or replacing a cis FC with a trans or non-binary FC would be welcomed). If you’re not sure if a FC would work, drop us a message! We’re more than happy to answer any questions y’all have.

"Who would this FC work for?”

We’re sorry but we will no longer be answering questions like this. As previously mentioned, you are however more than welcome to suggest FCs for a character. We’d be very happy to talk about FCs for specific characters.
