I love educating my generation (gen z) of the gay community about our shit and being told I know "too much" or "know everything" when I'm telling them something like "queer is a slur."

You know the gay community's spearheaded by men, despite what the first letter of the acronym is, when everybody now thinks (or agrees with the mentality) that its a pereons birthright to be in your dating pool and considers rejection an affront to them and who or what they is, devaluing your autonomy and reservations for their pleasure and satisfaction. A very man thing to do.
As a lesbian in a majority christian country who has been likened to an insect, an animal, a plague, a disease, who has suffered conversion therapy where my sexuality was treated as something to be exorcised of me, something that made me deserving of punishiment, I can't say that the response of the trans and queer community and the public at large, ever so glad to stand by, has been shocking, as it's nothing new, or unexpected; they've always been expressively homophobic.
What does enrage me is that, also expectedly, there will be no accountability. Straights who lived through the AIDS crisis and just sat it out watching gay men and lesbians fight while the men died and lesbians cared for them alone are sure as fuck not owning up to it nowadays, they stay claiming completely straight-faced they always stand up for what's right, against the staus quo, perennially on the right side.
It'll be the same with this. Hands will be washed, accounts (anonymous anyway) purged, blames shifted. Those who supported it too publicly will identify as victims now, of the "system" that apparently exists independently, which brainwashed them into believing gays were bigots, against their purest intentions.
We will have been fucked over again, fought alone again. No apology, no credit, no difference.
A ruling on the charitable status of LGB Alliance has been handed down by a tribunal, months after a court hearing on the case.
Gah. The LGB Alliance won their court case and remain - somehow - a UK charity. I'll be avoiding certain trending topics on social media (especially Twitter) today, for the sake of my health, and I suggest others do the same.
My donation for hate mail policy is clearly outlined in the ask button text (and my bio, and my pinned post).
If you believe LGB Alliance / radical feminist groups / gender critical feminist groups are responsible for trans genocide and you read my ask policy and still send me hate mail, you are the one funding it. If you genuinely believe these groups are responsible for killing or otherwise harming trans people, then I hope whatever message you send me is worth the money I put into that. Otherwise, I guess you must also believe your poor impulse control and need to feel big and tough is responsible for harming trans people.
Leaving rude comments, trying to get me to argue, and sending me hate mail is not going to work. I’m not going to fight you and I’m not going to be bothered. I will however, post about it if I feel so inclined.
After a user tried to pick a fight with me and I reblogged with a polite response (and just ignored everything else they sent me because, again, I don't argue and it's a waste of my time and energy), my total daily notes doubled and my following spiked.
Nobody else tried to argue with me and other radical feminist blogs jumped in to argue with them on my behalf (thank you ladies!). People love it when you send me hostile messages and I dunk on you (politely). It's actually quite good for my blog and good for whatever organization I donate to. Win-win!
So yes, if you try to get my attention and I don't ignore you or you send me hate mail, it just means more notes, more followers, and more people not on radical feminist Tumblr who would have otherwise not seen my posts see them. A few dollars is no skin off my back. I don't even mind when even more people reblog to argue or insult me, because other radical feminists will argue back. (Wonder how I got into radical feminism? Someone reblogged a radical feminist blog to argue with them, and I read it. Then I kept reading. Your followers are reading my posts when you reblog them, too.)
Anyway, moving forward, I'll do like a monthly roundup or something so I don't have to dignify every hostile response with a post this long since it's a waste of my time and energy and I'd like to focus on better things.

public reminder that your sexual orientation is unchangeable AND that any negative opinions people have of it do NOT make you a bad person. sexual orientation isn’t about what you can tolerate ‘for the greater good’, it isn’t about what’s been done to you or what you wish it was or what the church wishes it was or your parents or peers wish it was, it’s about what you’re attracted to without the influence of threats or violence.
it’s also NOT a moral failing to stay in the closet, you are under NO obligation to put yourself at risk or make yourself uncomfortable by coming out. IF you want to come out out, then the time and place you do is up to you, and the people who you tell are also up to you. Pride and privacy are not mutually exclusive. it can even be possible to talk to others like you and even date without being fully out of the closet, and it is NOT childish to do so.
Please stay safe and know that same-sex love will always exist all over the world. There are millions and millions of us spread thinly across every nation every culture in every job and faith and organization. Wherever your life may lead, please know one thing:
You are not alone.
okay I have a question
I am looking for female artists, preferably lesbians who accept commissions, I want to support ones who acknowledge that being a lesbian = being an actual homosexual, I really want to support those artists and even though I don’t have the means to right now in the future I want to commission pieces whether it’s for my story or tattoos. if you guys have any suggestions or if you yourself are a lesbian artist please reblog this or reply!
