Just finished rewatching the Beantown Bailout Job, and I just love how Nate was trying to be normal, and his 4 chaos gremlins just showed up and latched back onto him

Why is Eliot my favorite Leverage character?
Nate, Sophie, Hardison, and Parker are all great at what they do, but they mess up. A lot. In pretty much every episode.
Sure, they can control, grift, hack, and steal, but then what?
What happens when Nate gets so deep into a person's mind that he looses track of himself and all real priorities and tries to drown himself in liquor?
What happens when Sophie gets so into playing the perfect con that she forgets who she truly is and screws up because she was too perfect? Too easy to believe? Too convenient?
What happens when Hardison decides he's done with the man van and tries to run the con on his own; then proceeds to screw the con up in more ways than anyone thought was possible because he tried too hard to prove himself?
What happens when Parker steals way more than she ever should have, or gets into places she shouldn't be in, or totally freaks out because she's afraid she'll let down the team like she did with other people in her past?
They're defenseless. All of them.
Nate can't control his way out of being a total maniac and drinking like a fish.
Sophie can't con her way out of becoming so involved with the con or whatever in the con is sentimental to her that she looses focus on what's really important and blows her cover.
Hardison can't hack his way out of being tied hand and foot to a chair.
Parker can't steal her way out of being held at gunpoint by about ten security guards.
But they have Eliot.
Strong, silent, and deadly.
Of course he gets mad when they screw up, and of course he's going to make sure they know it. But he's always ready at a moment's notice to protect his family. And then afterwards there's no, "Guess what, you were completely screwed and moments away from getting killed and I came storming in there and took out those guys and saved your life. You owe me big time." And yet nobody ever says, "Eliot, thank you so much for all you do for this team. You're the only reason we're not all dead."
But he never asks for thanks. He never brags about how he helped everyone else. He's just quietly watching and waiting for the next time they need him.
Also by the way Vance calls Parker Eliot’s girlfriend & nobody explicitly says ‘no she’s only with Hardison’ so she’s their girlfriend that’s canon
I mean come on that’s as close to canonising an OT3 that early 2000s got surely (next to “will you marry us” on Psych with Gus/Shawn/Juliet which I think was the same time)
Was rewatching part of 'The Morning After Job' and just now realized that in the scene where Eliot tackles the fugitive to the pavement, it's really quick but you can hear Hardison ask him, "You alright?" Call me overdramatic but I was reminded all over again of how much I absolutely LOVE their friendship
Rewatching Leverage and Leverage : Redemption with my mom and I'm being. Very vocal about my dislike for her thinking that Parker might get pregnant. Like. She thinks that might happen, and honestly??
I hope the fuck not-
If I remember correctly from the snippets of the Leverage fandom I've seen on here, Parker's like one of the first late 2000's to early 2010's forms of acespec rep [specifically Demisexual]. And tbh I think if she and Hardison ever decide to have a kid [considering they aren't in the place to have one yet], they'd adopt or foster considering their childhoods.
And also part of my own dislike for that idea is bc Parker is one of my favorites [and I kinda project onto her a little bit when I realized that the fandom for once is right on one thing, she's definitely acespec imo].
And also I hate that couples in shows aren't considered complete until marriage and a child.
I don't think Parker and Alec will actually formally get married anyways either. Especially since that girl has no documentation whatsoever outside of being banned from countries, on wanted lists, or her aliases like Alice White for certain jobs.
They sure as hell won't have a kid physically in the state of things in the world rn anyways too-
Anyways, tl dr ;
I severely dislike my mom's idea that Parker will get pregnant sometime in Leverage ; Redemption bc I will genuinely despise it if that happens, and I love both shows too much for that bs to happen.

Me: I can watch the leverage finale again. I know the twist, I'll be fine
Me, 15 minutes in: *Sobbing alone in my room as Parker, Hardison, and Elliot hold hands* They're in love! They're in loooooove
Showstopping, immaculate, glorious
The scene on Leverage where the Team made up an entire elaborate cover story only for Eliot Spencer to step forward, straighten up, roll back his shoulders and go “I’m Eliot Spencer” gaining them immediate audience
Throwing your (team’s) cover to the wind because your real identity grants you so much more leverage (hehe), perfection
Do you like that Leverage:Redemption kept the headquarters in New Orleans or do you wish it had moved around like the original series?
I like New Orleans
Seeing other places would have been nice
I don’t care either way
