A day late! Joining #inktober2017 with Matilda in Detroit, late 70s (rearranged the period!) It may sound weird but...I'm aiming never to be perfect for this inktober bc I know I'd not able to keep it up if I aim that.

This is me..
For a good few years now I have been saying I want to write a blog and to be fair to my feeble self I have! Yes, that's right, I have! The fact that it’s safely stored away in the confines of the note pages on my iPhone is neither here nor there. So today is the day that I am going to stop putting off what I have been wanting to do for a long time out of fear of embarrassment and air my dirty and not so dirty secrets, brutal truths and despair like a dirty pair of knickers after a 3 day festival!
Here it goes.. this is me!
I’m roughly a size 14 (cough cough), ok probably more of a 16. I am essentially an elderly woman in a 25 year old post partum looking body. YEH SEXY! I have long, blonde and ridiculously thick hair. Yeh yeh..I've heard it before ‘ Oohh, I would love to have your hair’ - trust me you wouldn’t. I’d give you a week before your begging for someone to shave you like Britney 2007.
My diet starts every Monday and ends by the very latest Wednesday lunchtime EVERY SINGLE WEEK.
I have a boyfriend for the sake of this blog we shall call Lube (explanation to follow). We live in a tiny one bedroom flat on the beach cause we’re poor and have a lot of debt from our rebellious youth. We are proud parents to our little bundle of terrorist joy Beatrice the Bunny.
I work full time as a Paramedic (noun: a person trained to give emergency medical care to people who are seriously ill with the aim of stabilising them before they are taken to hospital). Unlikely story. I do genuinely work as a paramedic but the whole life saving side of things is pretty rare nowadays as the majority of my time is spent looking for the remote control that THE same patient has sat on again, panicked and activated their life line because their volume on the tele in now deafening loud OR explaining to elderly patients that there is simply nothing I can do about their poo being stuck OR explaining to someone that their 6 week history of testicle pain could probably wait for the GP in the morning and 3am is a very odd time to start worrying about it. God. The list goes on.
I come from your pretty atypical family in the sense that my parents are still together. I have two sisters. One niece. They all live approximately 2 minutes from each other whereas we live about 35 miles away from them. However, you would honestly think we lived on the other side of the world the way my parents describe the abandonment and crisis I've left them in since my departure.
I like cheese, particularly Babybel,
I think that is about it really for now. I hope this little snippet of my life can give you an insight of further posts to come.
The Eccentricity In Me
Haven't been able to get my fruit intake game on locked. Got a grab me a key to stay locked in. I'm a find fun ways to get them into my tummy. I feel that's the real drive to being healthy. It's not about taking it so seriously. It's about having fun with just as much as it's fun to each a burger and French fries.
I Hate Lists
Hello friends,
So this may be more of an unnecessary rant, but i feel like doing it anyways. Its that time of year again and I hate lists. It is that time of year were everyone gets nostalgic… don’t get me wrong I like looking back on the things I like and hate just as much as the next fellow nerd culture junkie…. but I hate the public need to make a collaborated list of the top ten blah blah blah.
What triggered this anger in me? Well let me tell you. a very popular website that covers everything from games to anime to tech. But this week every day they are working their way down a list of the best video games of all time. The trouble with lists like this is that no one will fully agree with the outcome and therefor no one will fully appreciate it.
If it was a list compiled by one singular person it would be a highly opinionated list made by one person on what they view as their favorite games of all time… It is not though, it is a group of people debating and creating a list that their site is saying is the top 100 games of all time.
I guess what I am saying is just hate the idea that we need a list created by a group of random people telling us what are the greatest games of all time…. to them. I really don’t care what their favorite games are. I don’t care where they rank my favorite games at. In the end it doesn’t matter, lists like this are not made for us and they are not made for them.
I truly don’t know where I am going with this. I do know that i can’t even rait my own favorite games of all time because its an ever changing and an ever morphing list with the main variable of how I am feeling that day. At the end of the day lists don’t matter… what does matter is that we all love games, that we continue to support game creators, and that we keep playing these game.
If I had to choose right now the best game/game series , gun to my head…. Mass Effect trilogy
Fake Movie Review pt.1
The Art of P. Sounds like a boring title of a film, but it isn't. P is for Penelope, an aspiring young artist who's been dreaming all her life about art: movies, books and of course, paintings and sculptures of many sorts. Penelope's job lands in a tiny town in Southern California and her career snags a few tightly mended bonds. Penelope ends of debating rather her life as an artist is worthy enough for her future endeavors or if it is worth the risk jumping off the highest cliff, figuratively speaking. It is all an elaborate art of P. This film is brilliant and clever. It will leave you thinking about life and making choices.
