MC:... What should I write on the board, Barbatos?
Barbatos: Hm... "I am a more competent sorcerer than I let on."
MC: Are you still upset about earlier?

I love how much dumbass representation Obey Me gives us through MC.
The fact that both Leviathan and Barbatos told them not to open the letter, but then they proceeded to do so anyway...king shit I tell you.
That, combined with the fact that MC's magic is both strong enough to negate the curse and undo it at anytime they please, makes MC a himbo in my opinion
SPOILERS: lesson 71-7 + 71-9. Thanks @camagueyys.
There was a part where Barbatos is not in control of himself and fawning over mc and when he snaps out of it he expresses how much he hated it, not even for the reason that it was embarrassing but for the reason that it made him deeply uncomfortable saying words that were not his own and didn't reflect how he feels. Everyone was dismissive of this, even the oh so empathetic mc. This is horrible. I hated reading every second of it.
Edit: MC had the power to lift the enchanment the entire time but didn't because they thought is was funny. What the hell is this lesson? Then Barbatos, the fucking god he is, GIVES MC CREDIT FOR BREAKING THE ENCHANTMENT EVEN AFTER SO LONG.
A Bad Day [Obey Me! Barbatos/Lance]
Note: Spoilers for lesson 71. Angst, no comfort. Unrequited love. Not a part of the timeline I have for Barbatos and Lance.
Obey Me! Masterlist
--
Lance’s eyes widened when the waterfall of blood soaked him, through his clothes, and onto his skin. His mind raced as he tried to think of every cut he may have on his body. He scrambled to remember the delay time it took for tests to pick up antibodies for different infectious diseases and when he needed to get to a hospital to be tested.
“It’s not human blood,” Belphegor interrupted Lance’s frozen state of terror.
Lance blinked and took off his glasses, no longer able to see out of them. With a shrug, he dismissed his horror immediately with a, “Oh, good to know.” He ignored the dripping blood from an unknown source as he grabbed the contents within the bloody box. He looked back at a confused Beel and Belphie with a small smile. “Ready?”
“You’re not freaked out anymore?” Belphegor asked with a sigh.
“No,” Lance said simply. “I’ve had a bunch of blood on me before. Few times, actually. Only a couple of those times was the blood mine.”
“Wait, what?” Belphie asked as Lance just continued walking, ignoring the Avatar of Sloth.
“Biology?” Beel gave a weak excuse for explaining Lance’s words, but followed after him quicky.
The moment Lance walked back into the student council room, Lucifer looked annoyed at him. Lance shrunk in on himself as Lucifer cast a spell to clean him up. He felt he failed.
Spoiler for lesson 71!!!
I am low-key disappointed that they dropped the Satan thing and handled it off-screen. I guess because it'd be a repetition but we could've gotten a small breakthrough where he cannot assume the worst of Lucifer. Or a Raphael point of view as to why he thinks they're similar. It's not necessarily something bad, so he might have seen some good attributes which shouldn't freak Satan out so much.
But what we got is alright. I liked seeing Barbie so in love for the first time, he doesn't show his emotions usually so anything at all would make me happy. Unfortunately, it wasn't real, but it's enough to write fanfiction for it.
Also, is Raphael's deadly sin gluttony? The way he talks about all the food which he likes and all. We need another glutton so that'd be great
I like that we get insight into the Council but it all seems like a lot of work and I currently don't see the pros. Like why should we want to be a part of it? How will it serve the plot in the future? Also, it's really smart to change it up because that's our third time in the devildom and it's easy to get repetitive
I love the love confession of Simeon, its so cute also did we make-out in the woods or something moređź‘€
He wanted to feel your touch, wanted your bodies to be pressed together, the fade to black and they totally forgot the time. Both is possible, I'd like to read for the latter suggestion some fanfic, you can tag me if you see smth like that
To be honest I never understood this punishment. Writing the same sentence over and over, for an extended period of time. It doesn't serve anybody, it's just boring as hell. I'd rather do assignments of clean something, doing something that is of use to anybody
Overall I like the lesson, but I wonder when the Simeon or the Satan thing comes up again

Altana, Sadaharu and the power of Strawberry Milk
About Sadaharu: “When he is fed with strawberries and milk (Strawberry Milk), he can grow even larger and transform into a ferocious horned monster”.
I completely forgot about it, but now, when some of us assume that Gintoki is somehow connected to Altana, just like Sadaharu is, this ability suddenly makes a lot more sense than we all thought back then.
Wanna know why? Then I will ask you a question:
Who else drinks a lot of strawberry milk in Gintama? And is more encouraged to fight, when he already drank strawberry milk? (I’m not sure if it’s always like this, but in the second movie he drank strawberry milk just before going to fight with strong opponent, who turned out to be him, so it may be a hint that he will be stronger if he drinks strawberry milk before battle. Also he can do it, without even knowing that it helps him to win).
Oh! Oh! I know!
Sakata Gintoki!
Is it possible that strawberry milk somehow affects Gintoki’s swordsmanship and other abilities, without changing his body in visible way?
If so, why he is not changing like Sadaharu? Why he is not “a horned monster”?
Hmmm... even Sadaharu in this form doesn’t have horns, but still...
It’s quite disturbing...
They even both have white hair/fur and dark red eyes.
(I wonder if these priestess knew, that Gintoki is not a normal human. Probably not, because they acted like they didn’t know why Inugamis like Gintoki so much).
I like the idea of one of the other characters getting involved in the little love enchanted letter mishap, instead of Barbatos, and nothing happening to them because they're already in madly love with the MC.
As much as I am desperated for Barbatos content and thought the whole love enchantment spell escapade was kind of fun, I'm glad that it was brief and only lasted for two parts.
I want Barbatos to fall for MC on his own accord. :)
