In his first few weeks at Leod's, Vince mostly acted his 1 Active point and Couch Potato trait.
Leod: I'm heading outside to feed the sheep, do you still not want to come and pet them with me?
Vince: Nah, I'm good. You've got a very comfortable couch, Uncle Leod.
But after a while, Vince started to get bored inside, and spent more and more time in the garden, watching Leod do work and picking up a willingness to try some of it himself.
Vince: This will grow to be the BIGGEST tomato in the world!
Vince: Uncle Leod said you don't have a name yet, so from now I will call you... Sheepy!!
Leod: So this cheeseburger is store-bought, but one day we're gonna have cows or goats on the farm and make cheese from their milk, and we'll be able to put that in the burger.
Vince: What about the meat in the burger?
Leod: The beef? Oh, I don't want to slaughter cows. We'll just keep them for their milk.
Vince: But why don't we make beef from their milk?
Leod: Oh, you thought beef came from milk?
Vince: Well, my maw told me beef comes from cows, and I already knew milk comes from cows, so...
Leod: And that there — is my grandpa Rory. His older brother, Angus, was your great-grandpa. He was your grandpa's pa. Wait... did you even know your grandpa, Ewan?
Vince: My grandpaw died when I was very little. I remember my paw was very sad about it.
Leod: Hm, I can imagine... Look, that's his cousin, my uncle Leod.
Vince: Leod? But you're Leod!
Leod: That's right, I was named after him. He died before I was born. My pa loved him very much, so he gave me his name. He was an author — he wrote a comic book, maybe you'd like it. I think I have it somewhere in the house.
And thus began the new life of little Vince McGreggor — in the farmhouse of his uncle Leod (who was his second cousin once removed, in actuality).
[If you want to know more about Vince, you can check out his line in the spreadsheet. You can find all my playable UH Sims there! There is also the family tree, where you can see even more Sims, including deceased ancestors and unplayable side characters — you have to search for a Sim's name in the bottom right corner to jump to a specific Sim's family though, because I have connected all UH families in this one family tree lol].
i managed to get reshade working and wow!! look at that difference! its so pretty that the vanilla sims 2 almost look weird to me now lol
men of middle-earth ♞ house of éorl ♞ headcanon disclaimer
Léod was a Lord of the Éothéod, a descendant of Fram, who had flourished 500 years earlier. He was a great horseman and a well-loved leader, protecting Framsburg from orcs and wolves and winning great renown among his people. His wife was Godliss, a gentle woman unlike the shieldmaidens Léod’s ancestors had wed, but she also was beloved by the Éothéod and raised their son Éorl in grace and nobility. In the lands about Framsburg, many horses roamed wild and free. The men of the Éothéod would often capture and tame these beasts, and Léod was renowned for his ability to break proud and wild horses into obedient steeds. While his son was still a youth, Léod captured a white foal more fierce and resistant than any he had before seen, and when it was grown he attempted to mount the creature, confident in his skill. Alas, this mighty horse was greater than even Léod knew, and he threw his rider, escaping to freedom. Léod hid the ground with great force, his head breaking open upon a rock, and died, leaving Éorl the Lord of the Éothéod. Godliss mourned her husband’s loss and soon wasted away in grief; Éorl, only sixteen years old, was left with a people who doubted his youth and abilities and feared that the loss of their beloved Lord Léod would spell the doom of the Éothéod. But Éorl was a mighty young man, and he swore to avenge his father’s death. He hunted down the white stallion that had killed his father and recaptured it, determined to break it as Léod had endeavoured. The confrontation between Éorl and the horse was great indeed, but in the end Éorl won and bent his father’s killer to his will. Éorl named his steed Felaróf and doomed the stallion to carry him for the rest of their lives. Humbled, Felaróf accepted this burden, and in time a great bond was forged between horse and rider. Felaróf could understand the speech of Men—or at least the words of Éorl—and lived a long and glorious life alongside his master. He gave rise to a race of remarkable horses, the mearas, and according to tradition his descendants could only be ridden by the Lord of the Mark, Éorl’s own progeny.

Why does Leod talk like Kathy Bates from AHS Frik Shew?
hey anon this is literally the worst feedback i’ve ever gotten so thanks 4 that but also for a second i thought you meant Roanoke Kathy Bates and i abt shit my pants laughing @ that concept lmao
Alright, here's Leod the Sun Bear! My new Fursona...or, robotsona...whatevs, I'll draw an anthro of him later. (Google what Leod means) P.s. @chaospenelope suggested the Sun bear idea. Go check her awesome stuff out!
One morning, a big blue car pulled up at Leod's farm unexpectedly. In the backseat sat a quiet young boy in a plaid shirt.
Social worker: Come on, Vince! Come say hi!
Leod: Uh, hi, hello ma'am, can I— can I help you?
Social worker: Good morning, Mr. Greggor, I'm from SimCity Social Services, and this is Vince. He is the little boy we sent you the notices about.
Leod: What notices?! What's going on? Do I know him?
Social worker: We've been sending you letters for weeks, do you not check your maibox? Alright then, I'll tell you all about it now. You might not know Vince yet, but you're related to him, and he's looking for a home.
Leod: Related? How? I barely have any surviving relatives left, even back in my homeland. And since my parents and their generation have all passed, I don't keep in touch with anyone.
Social worker: That explains a lot... So, Vince here is the only son of your second cousin from your father's side, Duncan McGreggor — remember him?
Leod: Oh, yeah, Duncan... messy guy. Couldn't keep out of trouble when he was a teenager. I hope he got his life together since.
Social worker: Uh... do you think social services would be looking to rehome his child if he had, Mr. Greggor? Look, the situation is... Duncan and his partner, Laura — Vince's mother — recently got arrested on drug trafficking charges. They're both likely facing a prison sentence. Even if they weren't, a child can not be raised in such environment. In fact, Duncan and Laura have contacted us themselves about finding a safer place for Vince.
Leod: Did... did they tell you to bring him here?
Social worker: Duncan and Laura spoke highly of "Uncle Leod in SimCity with the farm" and said you could be a good role model to their son and raise him to live a honest and productive life.
Leod: Hm... Raise him? Am I supposed to adopt him and keep him forever?
Social worker: You don't actually have to adopt him. We would make you his guardian, and he could stay for as long as it serves everyone involved.
Leod: So what happens if this doesn't suit me? If I don't take him in? If I'm not ready to become a... dad, technically?
Social worker: If you decline becoming Vince's guardian, he'll get into the foster system and will be placed in a group home first. Then who knows how long it would take to find him foster parents... He might go years without getting to live in a family.
Leod: Ugh... So, how old is the boy? What is he like?
Social worker: Vince has just turned 6. He's about to start school. We already enrolled him in Pleasantview Elementary. He's a smart kid, but he tends to be a little unfocused, hopefully that won't cause issues in school. He's also a little shy and not used to being around strangers, so it might take him a while to warm up to you and get used to his new environment. From what we've seen though, he enjoyes being outdoors, so he'll love it on the farm.
Leod: Hm... Okay, fine. I have a spare bedroom, and I could do with a little help on the farm anyway. I'll take the boy.
