Have you ever had lengua??? 🤤🤤🤤 is soooo soft and tender , it practically melts and the flavor is so delicious! My friend gave me the best lengua yesterday! Normally I would’ve had tacos but since I’m trying to eat healthier I made lettuce wraps instead. I admit it wasn’t exactly the same but the meat was sooo awesome! Lengua tacos.
Sorry about your spaghetti leftovers, tonight I’m having lengua tacos.
In case you aren’t aware, lengua means tongue. Beef tongue. A giant, fat, deliciously soft and creamy tongue.
Not very many things make me squeamish but the look of an uncooked cow tongue that was a foot long and 5 inches thick - irked me out.
He pressure cooked the tongue in carnitas spices, water and onion. I have no idea what that actually means really but I think it means “super tasty.” After about an hour, he removed the tongue and the outer layer, the part with all the taste buds and things, is removed. Then he chopped it up and sautéed it. Served it with broccoli slaw, avocado, salsa and radish.
Editor's note: carnitas literally means "little meats" apparently. Will inquire further... #sizedoesntmatter
