Rolin needs to bring back the writers from S1. I expected the narrative to be different as we're flipping from Louis to Lestat but the dialogues between the characters are much more weaker compared to S1 and S2. Too many unnecessary characters, not enough of Dee Pharma or Moses Sumney, and too choppy for character development. They won't let us sit with the characters.
The music? Some of it takes away from the story plot and becomes too distracting. I love "Biggest Fan" and "Big Boss" but I definitely wanted more scenes about Lestat's childhood and what drove Nick mad.
I hate to break it to you, Anon. Dee and Lemuel are big characters, they’re won’t be anymore of them. They don’t exist in the books. 😭
Yes, many people wanted more of Nicky and Lestat’s childhood. I think we will get a bit more of each.
But Louis is always alone, even in the books, but I was hoping for something with Lemuel—more scenes.
What's different as well is, Armand actually loved Louis in the books . They actually lived together at Trinity Gate in NY. Don't see that happening in the show
I feel like in the books, Lestat had many, many lovers and so, AR had Louis and Armand be a couple.
In the show there is no need for all that. David is dead, Armand and Daniel are the secondary featured pairing.
The way is paved for Loustat to heal and be the primary pair (thanks, Jam 😉).
had the show chose to go down the lumuel and Louis route, that would have been a very popular couple LOL
But that of course was never going to happen
NGL. I was intrigued by Loumuel. But the bottom line is…. this is the Loustat show. We knew that coming in.
Also…. Louis STILL went to Lestat’s show alone and STILL in a three minute serenade had more chemistry than the whole third season of TNR 😉

Nobody is talking about how Louis emotionally withholds from Lemuel (do you get it now? Louis isn’t emotionally withholding to hurt Lestat, he is naturally emotionally withholding because of his own trauma).
