Case in point with Raglan said "your love" almost got his head cut off (paraphrasing) and Louis said a definite "no" about going after the Fang Gang. That is how Lestat believes Louis would have reacted when Louis or Daniel told him the story.
Thank you for validating my theory anon. I also don’t want to believe Louis would be that callous and not care that Lestat could have been killed. Lestat said at the top of the scene very openly that he wasn’t there and whilst he might know now roughly how the conversation went, we are viewing this through the eyes of someone who believes that Louis never actually loved him and only cared about Claudia, so of course he see it that way.

There’s fans who think the worst of Louis based on a 2025 perspective of how men and women engage, and there is no redeeming Louis in their minds. Louis shows such care and concern about the people he really cares about as acts of service. And personally, in season one, I think he was way less stoic then he demonstrated himself to be in season one. After all, in the books, Lestat himself says that the reason he was so in love with Louis is because Louis was so enamored with him. So clearly, Lestat knew how Louis felt about him even if Lestat says “I love you” all the time and Louis doesn’t say it directly at all.
