Instructions: Mix heavy cream, milk, and sugar in a bowl until the sugar is completely mixed in. Add the poppy seeds, vanilla extract, lemon juice, and lemon zest and mix well. Put the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn it according to the directions on the machine. Add the broken up lemon poppy seed cake in the last few minutes of churning. I'veĀ been planning this day for weeks now and finally, today is the day I finally get a selfie, and my copy of āBestiesā signed by the authors themselves, Georgina Wilson and Solenn Heusauff. I woke-up with terrible back pain this morning because last night me and family had to carry a really heavy cabinet from Victoria Plaza to my dormitory with our bare hands and all our energy. ItĀ wouldn'tĀ fit in our car, there were no big taxis around, and getting it delivered wasnāt worth paying the minimum charge because my dorm was close by. I had to organize my room as much as I could before my mom would allow me to leave because it was a big mess. I borrowed the top I wore from my motherās closet. I had a Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) and I had to wear a baby diaper because I kept peeing uncontrollably and I was experiencing pain in my lower abdomen.
When I got to SM Lanang, I heard Solenn and Georgina just arrived but I needed to go to the bathroom and change my diaper. The first bathroom I went to was full so I looked for another bathroom and there I found my urine had blood. IĀ wasn't on my period. I havenāt had it for over 3 months now but I was sure itĀ wasn'tĀ period blood. I stayed there for a while because I was scared and in pain. IĀ couldn'tĀ really move much because every now and then I would pee a little. When I went back to the atrium, I saw a lot of people had these stickers on their books with numbers on them and I asked around where could I get mine. They said there were no more stickers. I got really bummed and sat beside a display of t-shirts near the atrium.
I called my mother about what I saw in my diaper, she told me they were on their way. I sat there for hours praying to God that hopefully I donāt have kidney problems. I saw my mom arrive and searching for me in the crowd. I walked towards her, she said she thought I was already sitting on one of the barricaded group of chairs. I told her IĀ didn'tĀ get a sticker and I wanted to go home because I was really uncomfortable. She kept pushing me not to waste the opportunity because she knew I was really looking forward to this day. A former classmateĀ of mine told me that those who didnāt have stickers were still allowed to take a selfie with them after those who had one. I was pushing myself to the front of the crowd until I finally got in. Sos and George were kind enough to extend their stay to accommodate everyone who waited.
