Para Shuffle 04:

It’s that time again! We’ve used a random generator to pair up people for a para shuffle. This event is optional but will be worth 50 PSI points. We hope to encourage characters that might not have interacted to have conversations.

Topic: Winter Storm dropping over a foot of snow in NYC

Location: Anywhere within the city

Your para must hit 10 notes (outside likes) to count toward PSI.

Each response should be at least two paragraphs in length.

This shuffle has no end date, but a bonus of 15 pts will be rewarded if you finish before January 29th. We ask that if you begin the shuffle, for your partner’s sake, please finish!

If one partner wants to participate but the other doesn’t, message the main and you’ll be reassigned.

There was the headline in the people, he didn't know much about Thomas Moore. In fact he had only seen the man go in and out of the building but that was about it to be honest. He didn't know who the man really was and what he did for a living besides being a manager at some investment firm. Sighing a little bit, he ran a hand through his hair. Looking over at the paper now. Reaching out he took a drink of his coffee, he was happy for the day off to be honest. Miller would be back soon which meant that he would be able to go back to his regular schedule hours. Which he was happy about to be honest. 

There were three things Devon McGinty knew to be absolutely certain. The first, was that nowhere in this city was absolutely and entirely safe. The second, was that she was not Devon McGinty. The third -- and most important -- was that the only way to survive was to blend in. To remain significant and insignificant all at once. To be as memorable as she was forgettable. To be alive was to understand the art of contradiction and how to use it in her favour.

And so she danced. As she had been dancing for most of her life -- for over four centuries. She moved with the skill and precision of a ballerina, but with the fluidity of a river. She was blessed -- above all else -- with a certain level of grace. An old world beauty trapped inside a modern city. But anything else would have meant an absence of her own existence. An absence of anything. A lack of her darling contradictions. 

She stepped out from backstage and sat down to the bar, her hair tied up neatly at the top of her head. A peach coloured robe draped over her burlesque costume. Devon waved a finger to the bartender who -- as he did every night -- brought her a dry martini with extra olives. She looked over at the man she had sat herself beside.

Isaac liked bourbon, but was more a social pleasure. He didn't drink until be boozy because he never had a motive, not for good, not for bad. But lately his life was hell. He felt rejected and forgotten. He broke the heart of the woman he loves and he had no friends. Also, he was stuck with his power: he loved machines but as he advanced in his ability, he was loosing the contact with people. He felt miserable. And with all the inspiration to drink until the end to the world.

Max had been doing his research into Andrea for long enough to know who she spent her time with. There were people recently that he wouldn't dare to approach for fear of blowing his cover But there was at least one person he could try and get some information out of, and that was her friend Vanessa.
