“Nicholas isn’t privy to all of my studies,” Selwyn says. Nick makes a sound of indignation, but Sel pays him no mind. As he speaks he draws circles over and over with his finger. “Time is a spiral. It just comes around and around and around. How did you do it?”
“I don’t know,” I tell him honestly.
He scoffs. “Falling through eras is hardly something a person does by accident, even a bumbling fool. For example.”
“I don’t think you meant that as an example,” I mutter. “There was a… a demon trying to attack me, and when I tried to fight him I was surrounded by the- the red mage flames. And then I was in the woods, and Nick was saying so many words that didn’t make sense-“
“My Lady, you wound me,” he says, but a tick in his cheek shows that he’s fighting a smile. Sel catches it too, and his face- he tries to shut it down, but it’s a mix of so many things. He looks disgusted, crestfallen, lost, and furious all at once. Then it’s smoothed over as if it was never there."

I just finished my legendborn reread in wait for Oathbound and I am sooooo excited. Like I will give good money to read the book right now. The books are what I love so much about ya and fantasy. Like the love triangle is my favourite only next to the infernal devices love triangle(nothing can beat that one). Bree the woman you are. Like a person cannot be more relatable. And I truly believe that someone who hates Bree does not truly understand her character at all. Do not get me started on Selwyn Kane and the icon he is. Like I would like to watch all the reagents suffer and see them reap what they have sown. Nick, I really hope you have some answers because dude I really want to love you. And I can't wait to see what Natasia has to say for herself too. So to summarise, I am dying to read Oathbound
