im actually reading through that bad legacy control webcomic with the sexy wife and the horrible, awful nipples like a moron, and i found the first instance of the sexy wife showing up in the comic:

this comic is so much more than just trashy looking. all the later comics are filled with just fucktons of sexual exploitation of the wife character (whoâs based on the authorâs actual wife btw) and the guy character being total scum.
which i GUESS is the point of his whole character, to just be the most absolute scum of the earth man in the world who weâre supposed to view as hateable, which i GUESS is an attempt at some kind of satire???
But heâs repeatedly allowed to get away with his terrible actions, and even enabled by his comic wife to be trash, essentially promoting the idea âyou can be trash if you want to, #JustDoItâ, which is the absolute opposite of satire.
ESPECIALLY IN THIS FUCKIN COMIC WHICH IM NOT POSTING ALL OF BECAUSE UH #TW:RAPE
he commented on this page that he doesnât view his characterâs actions as r@pe. directly from his own keyboard:

The main character is very much based on him, btw. This is a bad comic for multiple reasons and i support ridiculing it.
also like, the author/artist of that comic straight up says that itâs inspired by him and his wife, and then he objectifies the shit out of that woman for his male audience. and not just like âoh he draws her super sexyâ, i mean he literally draws nsfw art of her. he even advertises it on his patreon.
so heâs basically telling people that if they pay him heâll draw them porn of his wife that they can jack off to?? ...like... man where are those âoh joy a sex toyâ reaction pics when you need them...
i didnt get involved in the downfall of the last comic book guy but i want to see the legacy control guy burn for making me see those nipples with my own two eyes

i actually really want to like... keep âLegacy Controlâ in my brain. and just make a mental note of it. because so often when i get in discussions with men about sexism, one of the first things they point out is âbut what about the bumbling idiot husband bit! what about all of those commercials and sitcoms showing men as ugly and stupid and women as hot and smart! WEâRE the ones getting insulted by those!â and like... no itâs really not as simple as that, because in 99% of those cases that man and that woman are in a relationship together. so itâs not just âman is stupid and ugly and horrible and woman is smart and hotâ, itâs actually âman is stupid and ugly and horrible and this incredibly hot and intelligent woman is still in love with him and wants to sleep with him Just Becauseâ, which is way fucking worse for women in the long run.
and Legacy Control is probably The Perfect Example of that trope, because itâs taken to such a ridiculous extreme that itâs borderline impossible to deny. like anyone who could seriously look at that comic and say âthe issue here is that itâs sexist towards menâ is so far gone theyâre just not worth talking to at that point.
I was looking for something else but found this
