The earliest fashion plate in my A4 reproduction set is this 1836 one published in Le Charivari, a daily french magazine.
The description is very sparse, likely owing to the small amount of space in the magazine. It mainly serves as advertisement for several craftspeople in the Paris area.

A (not so fun) fact about this specific plate and several others that came in the same lot - they stink of tobacco smoke. Part of the reason why I decided to create reproduction plates was so that I could quarantine very smelly or potentially hazardous originals while still having the pretty art up on my wall. The other reasons were so that I could keep the originals out of harsh daylight that would cause their colours to fade, and to have a version that would fit neatly in an A4 or A5 frame.
