I think I’m going to admit to my therapist how in denial I was of my alters. I actually had -no idea- I was that in denial until I broke down and Artemis pointed it out to me. Since I kind of chilled out and said “it is what it is, if it’s real they’ll still be here even if I don’t focus on it” they’ve actually been MORE active, which is the opposite of what I thought would happen. In turn, I’ve actually lifted my depression quite a bit by feeling like I can finally accept myself and what’s going on. I had shit communication beforehand, too, (we could only communicate through emotions and occasional talking) and now I’m hearing them perfectly clear, talking back and forth. It’s amazing how a simple change of mindset can change so, so much.
