Inktober 52 2026 - Week 3 - Glide

Last month my partner @scifer got me Yooka replaylee for my Birthday, and I've been playing through it. I got the game when it first came out, I had a lot of fun, but I had issues with the gliding sections on keyboard and mouse. It also didn't seem to like my plugged in controller; so I never quite completed the first game. I've been itching to replay it; and this updated version is much better, and I had a lot of fun again.

I've also been sorting out a lot of my art supplies and donating tuff to my little niece and felt like I should use up some of my sugar paper scraps lol

Laylee is amazing and I love her.

I remember when i played Yooka-Replaylee and i saw your piece in the fan art gallery, i thought it was so cool that i had actually reblogged that piece already. Hi there! It feels just wonderful to be a part of the Yooka-Laylee universe! Of course, I also love when folks find my art in the game by surprise and say "Hey, I know them!"

Playtonic has had two prior art contests that I submitted, runnered-up, but ultimately did not win. I really tried to lock-in for the Replaylee one, but I think the biggest factor was simply that my art had improved a lot over the years! Felt good to have that affirmed, in a way 🤭
