trafalgar law x male reader ; he might seem ooc but he isn't, trust me. this is how law is supposed to be perceived, i talked to oda himself and sorted this all out with him before publishing.

rockstar ! law . . . did not get famous overnight, but also did not get famous on purpose...if that makes sense. like his ass was up posting his guitar covers on youtube for years before someone reached out to him on joining a proper band. but also he wasn't posting those guitar covers with the intent of getting noticed. he just wanted people to see how SICK he was on guitar (he's a not-so-secret narcisst). but also another reason he posted them was because of you, his boyfriend who he had been in a relationship for a year at that point, was encouraging him to do so. your support for him and his talent was really assuring and fuelled him to be confident enough to post them online. (he was kind of against the idea at first, probably saying romantic shit like, "i want only you to hear the songs i play," but eventually was swayed when you spent many minutes convincing him to)

rockstar ! law . . . when he finally goes on tour with his band, he is pretty insistent and headstrong in allowing you to come with. he doesn't care if he needs to pay out of pocket money to fund your stay with him and his bandmates, he will if he has to. because he's not leaving you for months on end, pursuing the dream that was only possible because of how you supported him through it. there's absolutely no way he's going on tour without his boyfriend.

Ever since he joined the straw hats in an allience law knew they were too roudy, and being so close to defeating doflamingo he decided to suck it up....but not the god damn sanitation of the men's sleeping quarters.

They stink, and the idea of taking a bath seems like a plague to them, which is how he ended up here on the ship's main dock, trying to sleep. The key word is "trying," because despite being so close to getting his long-awaited revenge, the demons of the past continue to hunt him in his sleep...

"Mr.Law? Your still up?" A feminine voice from the straw hat witch said, "I know when people fake sleep, ya know?" she said again, "the hell's you want?" Law said the lack of sleep appeared on his tone, "maybe an explanation on why are you here AND still awake" she said with an accusing finger, "same could be said to you" he answered nonechalantly gripping his Katana, "I am on night watch duty plus collecting night ingredients," seeing his refusal to answer, she changed the subject. "night ingredients?" Now he is curious; he knows she is a witch, and it is difficult to find one because they prefer to stay hidden "your curious about magic!" oh boy was she happy jumping in joy she answers "it's dream dust, used for hallucination spells! Or sleep ones" a brief explanation as she sat down next to him.

"so you have nightmares, huh"a calm voice and a piercing eye contact she awaited an answer, seeing it like this he was not ready to share his nightmare nor open up to to her, but before he gave her an answer telling her to go away a golden dust was thrown at his face causing him to fall unconscious, "sweet dreams!" was all she said before making a hamic appear and letting him sleep there.

Mission: sweet dreams: complete success!

Law

Law would mostly leave you be about it. He’s not the type to tease you a lot about it, nor the type to take advantage of it. He’s mostly rather mindful about it, often announcing things he’s about to do so he won’t startle you. Despite this all, he does think you avoiding his eyes and stuttering out your words is rather cute and he secretly enjoys it.

The only time he’ll take advantage of you being easily flustered is when he’s feeling a little romantic, and when it’s just the two of you. He doesn’t like other seeing you like that, it’s a reaction to something he does, so it should be a sight just for him. When it’s just the two of you, he does like to comment about it though. Pointing out when someone is flustered makes it that much worse, and Law can be a bit of a tease.

Like giving you compliments with that grin of his while he’s holding you close to him, close enough to feel his breath on your skin. Compliments on your looks, on your personality, on your skills, anything. Lowering his voice just a bit because he knows what it does to you.

But the moment somebody else comments on you being flustered? Law goes full protective boyfriend mode. The crew knows better than to purposely fluster you, and when they do by accident they often apologise.

And when someone takes your blushing and stammering as an invitation to flirt with you? They’d better start running the moment Law notices. He knows you’re faithful to him, your relationship is built on a strong bond of trust after all, but he knows a stuttering ‘please leave me alone’ won’t make any unmannered idiots go away. Cutting their head off and throwing it away mostly does the trick though.

 Ace

Ace loves your reactions. Unlike Law, he loves to take advantage of it. Anytime you start getting flustered, Ace will comment on it, tease you about it, make it worse,… He’s living for it.

It’s fair game though, because if you play your cards right, Ace is not too hard to fluster either. Depending on your confidence, it will become a bit of a competition, flustering the other, trying to get revenge,…

If you’re not confident enough to get back at him though, he won’t tease you too bad about it though. He’s a tease, not mean. He’ll make a little comment on it, wink, and continue about the next topic, leaving the subject of you being flustered behind him.

If you genuinely hate it, he’ll stop though. He’ll be a little disappointed, but your comfort still comes above his amusement.

Ace is a little territorial, and he doesn’t like other people flustering you. The crew like to fluster you a little to tease him, and it often results in Ace trying to roast them. Due to his self-image, Ace is always worried that you’ll fall for someone else and leave him, so seeing you react that way to someone else just rubs him the wrong way.

He’s noticeably more gentle about the teasing when it’s just the two of you though. The more romantic the setting, the less harsh his teasing. Ace knows how to read the mood, and he knows he can be a bit of an ass sometimes with his teasing. So whenever it’s just the two of you, he likes to be a bit more soft and gentle, to give you a break from all the teasing and to remind you that he does in fact care. This way, he knows that you’ll believe whatever he says when it’s just the two of you, including those three very special words that never fail to make your heart race.

Sanji

Sanji loves your reactions so much. It’s not like he puts in that extra effort to make you flustered, Sanji is not really much of a tease, but he does love seeing what effect he has on you. You have such a huge effect on him as well, after all. It’s a confirmation to him that you love him, and it gives him that much more reason to keep showering you in affection, so you’ll never doubt his love for you either.

Whenever you get flustered, Sanji is really patient. He won’t comment on you stuttering or looking away, he’ll wait until you’re done talking, even if you take a while and he’ll react as normal. Almost as if you aren’t flustered at all. He knows showing he notices or reacting on it will only make matters worse and he wants you to be 100% comfortable around him.

He’ll comment on other people making you flustered depending on who it is, after all. If it’s one of the other girls on the ship, he won’t say anything about it unless it’s something that clearly makes you uncomfortable. When it’s one of the men on the ship, he yells at them to leave you alone and to stop making you uncomfortable. When it’s Zoro, who does it completely by accident, he even starts picking a fight.

Strangers though? Oh no. He’ll step right up. No stranger can make his s/o flustered. No stranger can tease his s/o. Not on his watch. Sanji is not afraid to start a scene, or a fight if he has to, if someone is making you uncomfortable.

"Let's hurry!" chopper insisted fearing the battle was gonna get out of hand.

Y/N took a moment to think,' Running will just prompt them to chase after me, beating them will make me feel like a bully, but WHAT AM I FORGETTING? Oh, right, the symbol!' Looking at them, she can't scare them with being a magician since they saw what she could do, So…

"Alright I can stay for a bit" she declared with raised hands in defeat. The villagers cheered happy to feel safe once more,

"the monsters won't eat us!" they cheered "We apologize for not being able to throw you a welcoming party savior" the chief apologized.

"no, need I just have a question" She looked at them with confidence hoping to not raise alarms in her disguise, "the symbol on that house, where did it come from?"

"the villagers exchanged looks before the chief answered, "It's been there long before I was a boy" he explained

so he had no idea, great! Walking back to the symbol the villagers looked at her smiling happy, maybe too happy. Luffy on the other hand reached the village focusing on finding Y/N when he spotted her surrounded by strangers Luffy prepared for an attack,

"gomo gomo no!"

but he stopped mid-attack, seeing his friend with their guard down……inspecting a wall?

"Y/N! You okay!" he shouted for her prompting her to turn around and be met with a bone-crushing hug from him.

"Luffy!" She smiled keeping her balance and hugging him back, prompting the villagers to look at him suspiciously before breaking into whisperers but the duo ignored them focusing on the small reunion.

"Where's the fight?" luffy looked around still a bit on guard but letting loose once he realized nothing was happening and the villager didn't look threatening.

"sorry Luffy but I finished the fight a while ago" She shook her shoulders returning to inspecting the old magic symbol, What did it mean?

"so we can go back? Franky is cooking and I am hungry!" "just let me finish this first" She waved him off forgetting her plan for a second.

"this symbol?" luffy asked touching it with his finger, "wait don't tou- AHHHHH!"

Not stopping him in time Luffy accidentally activated the old magic a large hole opened beneath them, deep with no light and black in color causing them both to be swallowed by it and closing again before neither could get out.

The villagers looked very happy, more than before hugging each other in delight,

"Our goddess! We fed you two people!" "Mercy" "Soon things will go back to normal!" . . . The hole stretched far or deep? Either way, the two where still felt not seeing anything in front of them;

"Y/N where are you!" shouted Luffy holding his hat on his head

"Ya daough anir ma amami wa goud tariki!" Instead of answering she cast a spell creating a big ball of light to appear floating on top of her hand

"Luffy I am fine! but this is too long of a fall!" she finally answered looking at her captain with a ball of light between them

"This is cool! why didn't you do it before!" Luffy was amazed by the spell forgetting the situation they were in, till

"Gomo gomo no! Balloon!" The straw hat kid noticed the ground nearing and brought Y/N cose turning into an air balloon to take the fall.

"This is getting ridiculous where are we!" she shouted looking at the cave, smooth dirt walls, no signs of getting out from the same way they got in since the hole was closed.

"Oi look at this! There's statues everywhere!" finding something interesting luffy went to check on his findings but his companion didn't feel the same.

"they look like they're trying to run away"

"hm?"

again not letting them catch a break the room started shaking and tearing itself open to reveal, another statue. But this one was Big much too big looking like a weeping woman holding a bouquet? The location it appeared in was exactly the direction the statues were running from, but why?

Luffy and Y/N got ready for battle this wasn't OR was going to be fun.

"My children! Welcome," a feminine voice said, but from where?

"Where are you!" yelled Luffy looking around causing his companion to do the same.

"Fear not! For soon you will join me!" looking ahead the statue moved one hand letting go of the bouquet in an inviting manner.

The earth stopped shaking and instead started glowing, a big magic circle under their feet, full of a similar symbol to before but this time they felt weak, unable to walk and falling to their knees.

"Y/N what's happening" Luffy turned to the magic strang thing-happening expert.

"not sure! But give me a minute!" the stakes were high, and not knowing what kind of magic it was added to the fire, 'think! Think! Dark magic, strange symbols, and now a goddamn talking statue performing a ritual! what can-'

"gomo gomo no! pistolé" While she was busy thinking luffy struck the first blow to the statue but his punch deflated before it reached the statue Luffy in his goofy tired voice mumbled

"I feel tired what's happening"

Hi Anon! Thank you for your kind words 😍 I swear I’m still surprised people actually like what I do here sometimes, but reading little comments like that really make me smile and give me motivation to keep writing more! ❤  That aside, here’s the headcanons, I hope you enjoy them! 

Sanji

Sanji is over the moon the moment you ask him out on a date. He loves taking you out on dates, but the fact that you’re now asking him on one makes him feel so honoured, and so loved. So of course he totally swoons over you the whole time.

Sanji has a lot of trouble not taking over the date. He wants you to be happy, and dates are usually all about you enjoying yourself, so to have the roles reversed is a weird but welcome change. He’s still a perfect gentleman though, it’s not something he can or wants to stop doing.

Sanji’s full attention is on you throughout the whole date. He’s grateful for any thought and any detail you’ve put into this date, and he starts to notice there’s been a lot of thought put into it. He’s pretty perceptive, after all.

So at the end of the date, once you’re heading back to the ship, you ask him if he’s had fun. He answers yes with that wide smile of his. Then he decides to ask the question he’s been wondering about.

“Y/N, did you spend a lot of time preparing for this date?”

The question came out with a smile, hoping he wouldn’t give you the wrong idea, but he had to ask.

When you confirm with slightly warm cheeks that you did, and that you in fact spent weeks preparing, Sanji feels like his heart is going to burst. That little smile you have on your face is not helping. What did he do to deserve you?

He wraps you in a tight hug, thanks you, and leans in for a kiss, deciding to let him actions speak for him.

Expect your favourite food the next day, and some extra drinks and snacks to be brought to you throughout the day.

Zoro

Zoro is pretty surprised when you ask him out on a date, he really didn’t think you would, or at least not yet for a good while. He’s not complaining though, any time spent with you was time spent well.

He notices you have a specific plan in mind, so Zoro lets you take control of the day. Going along with every vague instruction or comment, he lets you guide him through all the nice things you had planned. Everything was arranged, and Zoro couldn’t help but think it was all planned out very well.

That is, until the two of you got to a restaurant and the waiter starts to fumble when you mention your reservation. Turns out they had messed up, and that there was no spot for you. You were devastated and left the restaurant. Zoro suggested going to another restaurant, and you looked at him nearly in tears, letting slip in your emotional state that you had spent weeks preparing this date and that is was ruined now. He’s a little shocked, he noticed you had prepared for this, but for weeks? He did not expect that.

Pulling you into a hug, he tries to comfort you by telling you it’s not your fault, and that he’s very much enjoyed the date so far. The date is not ruined yet, you can go to another restaurant. It may not be what you had planned, but you could still have fun.

So that’s what you did. You found another restaurant that was nice, and had dinner there. All worries about the other restaurant forgotten. Zoro won’t quickly admit it, but he was very surprised that you would spend so much time preparing a date for him.

He’s definitely going to try to repay the favour at a later time, but he’s really not good at preparing dates, so it’ll be snuggles instead.

 Law

Law has been on to your planning since the very start. He’s pretty damn observant and noticed you had been asking him different questions than usual, had been behaving a little different. He asked the crew if you got involved in one of their crazy games again, but they told him they had no idea what he meant.

At first he thought something was wrong, so he started investigating. That’s how he found out you were planning to take him on a date. He briefly considered telling you to stop, not wanting many people to know you were involved with him. But at the same time he wanted to see what you would plan. What kind of date you liked, or what kind of date you thought he would like. It had been a long time since the two of you spent some quality time together, so maybe a date wouldn’t be so bad?

So Law stayed silent and waited. When you actually asked him on that date, he pretended he didn’t know anything and accepted. He didn’t know exactly what you were planning, he did want your surprise to work at least a little, so he didn’t know what to expect on the date.

You knew him very well though, and everything was very nice, relaxed and, most important of all, as private as possible, something he was incredibly grateful for. It turns out to be one of those rare occasions where he feels he can let his guard down just a little, and relax.

Hi Anon! Of course you can, I love the idea ❤ This is actually my first time writing for Kid and Law, so I hope I did them justice. 

Law

You had been trying to get a hug from Law for a while, but he kept rejecting it, saying that he was too busy for your shenanigans. So when he actually gives in in the hope that you’ll leave him alone for a while and you break down, he feels like such an ass. You never cried, or at least not once since you boarded the sub, so he knew whatever was up was very bad.

He instantly wraps you in a tight hug, quietly whispering in your ear that it’s ok, that he’s got you, and that you’re safe. He also apologises to you for not hugging you earlier and eventually, when your sobbing calms down a bit, he asks you what’s wrong.

When he hears the stress has been building up on you, he feels terrible. He feels responsible as your captain, he should’ve known your limits. He feels inadequate as a doctor, he should’ve seen the symptoms, and he should have prevented them, instead of having to treat them now. But most of all he feels worthless as your boyfriend, because he’s the one that should know you best of all and he’s the one that should be there for you. Always. No exceptions. Certainly not something stupid as work.

All he can do after you tell him is hold you tight, apologise, and ask if there’s something he can do for you. He’s prepared to do anything for you, no matter what, as long as he can see you smiling again.

Even when you tell him that you’re fine again, Law will keep a close eye on you, regularly checking in and giving you a little less work.  He failed you once already, he’s not going to do it again. And you bet he’s never refusing you any hugs ever again.

 Kid

Kid freezes for a good few seconds. One of the things he likes so much about you is your strength, both physically and mentally. In fact, it’s what drew him to you. So seeing you cry shocks him to the point where he wonders if he’s dreaming.

When he realises this is real though, he panics a bit internally. What should he do? Do you want to be alone? Do you want him to talk? Do you want him to keep holding you? Will any of these make you mad, or even worse, sadder?

So in the end, he settles for continuing to hold you, tightening his hold a little bit before quietly asking you if you’re ok.

You tell him you got a reminder of a bad memory on the last island, and that you’ve been holding it back ever since. Kid continues to hold you, but he is boiling. He wishes you had told him earlier, so he could’ve destroyed whatever made you feel this way. He wants to know what this bad memory is, and he wants to destroy everything that might remind you of it.

But he won’t ask you for more details. He’ll listen if you give them willingly, but if you just want to hug him and cry, he will let you. This is a smart man, he knows how much pain talking to someone about a bad memory can bring. And even if he’s not always the best or most romantic boyfriend, he doesn’t want to hurt you. Ever.

He’ll kiss your hair and rock you back and forth a bit, not really knowing how to make you feel better, but this helps for a lot of people, right?

“Look, I’m here for you, ok? It’s ok if you’re sad, and it’s ok if you cry. I won’t look down on you for it. You can be weak with me.”

 Luffy

Luffy will instantly get worried when he sees you break, exactly because you’re usually so strong. You never cry, so this must be bad, right?

He’ll desperately want to help. When Luffy cares about someone he holds nothing back, so he wants to find the source of your sadness and take it away. He wants to destroy everything in this world that could ever make you sad, so you could always be happy. Sometimes however, that is just not possible.

When you tell him someone close to you has passed away, he instantly understands how you feel. He’s been there too, he knows how it feels. However, there is one difference between his situation and yours. You are not alone right now.

Luffy will pull you in a gentle but firm hug, trying to convey to you that he’s there for you, both physically and emotionally. To show you you’re not alone. That doesn’t mean he doesn’t let you grieve though. He’ll let you cry on his shoulder as much as you want. He knows he moved on pretty quickly because he had a goal to focus on, being getting stronger and going back to his crew, but he completely understands if you need more time.

He will have Sanji make your favourite comfort food, and have him make you your favourite drink. And Luffy will stick to you like glue.

Luffy understands nothing he says can make your sadness any less. Death is death and no words can ease the pain of losing a loved one. He’ll just silently stay by your side. If you want to talk, he’ll listen to you and talk with you. If you just want a hug, that’s just what he’ll do. If you want to be alone? Say the word. All Luffy wants is for you to let it all out.
