Hinata’s weight shifted, catching his attention. She flickered around in search of her patch. Sasuke leaned over, brushing her thigh with his forearm, picking it up from the floor, and holding it up. Hinata thanked him, tying it back on.

“You don’t have to. It doesn’t bother me anymore.” Sasuke commented.

Hinata’s visible pale eye dropped to her hands. “You stare.”

“It’s the difference.” Rather than the connection to Itachi as it was before. “I’ll only get used to it if you keep it off.” Hinata still referred to it as ‘Itachi’s eye.’

“You need to stop,” Tsunade warned.

“What’s wrong with him!” Hinata tried again in vain.

“You don’t remember?” Gaara realized.
