   〢▸ She was quiet with her intense speculation, a curious look lingering on her face as she took the time to carefully study all the desserts lined up on the table. While worrying about such a small thing might have been silly to others, Sera still felt the flutter of nerves deep inside her stomach. Tapping her lips in thought, a slight frown fell on her features. 

       ❝ I didn’t know it was so hard to go shopping with ya, Allen. ❞

       It’s a joke, though, because Lavi didn’t really want to go shopping. The plan was simply to take Allen out for an hour maybe, and the red haired had used the excuse that they had to go buy suits for the ball that approached. It was the perfect excuse, was it not? Even though his friend did have a sharp eye ( or perhaps they just have been friends for time enough ) for Lavi’s horrible lies and just the fact he had a really poor acting sometimes, the important fact was that he did manage to be out for time enough until Lenalee ( though Mukuro’s phone ) message him to come back.

       And he did, on December 25th -- Allen Walker’s birthday.

       Despite the boy’s mood being over the top, loud & smiling and joking twice more than the usual, especially by the time they approached home, he still did as planned. And by the time they got home, well -- he just simply pushed Allen in to the surprise beyond the door.

                 ➤ Stores had suddenly grown more and more embellished with elaborate clothing. Granted, she hadn’t been in the city for an abundance of time, but the change had become rather obvious- most likely due to the upcoming ball. While she had managed to abstain from browsing, a store that replicated the clothing that she was more familiar with had caught her eye. Naoto hadn’t wished to conform, but merely browsing wasn’t a sign of assimilation, right?

                       Slowly, she wrapped her fingers around the site of a long, black dress. However, a gentle tug in the opposite direction had caught her attention- almost as though it was a sign to step away from the establishment in general. ❝I- sorry, I didn’t mean to pull this dress...❞ Clearly, she was talented at lying.
