I like to think that Sirius and Ginny always used to talk at nights in Grimmauld place. 

The first night when Sirius enters the kitchen after having a nightmare, he finds Ginny sitting on the table her face pale and hands shaking, a sloshed glass of water on the table. 

He goes upto her, worry etched on his face and asks slowly, not wanting to startle her “Are you okay?” Ginny jumps slightly and looks up and she opens her mouth to say something but nothing comes out she clears her throat and tries again, and just like Sirius she whispers “Nightmare, lot of snakes in the house” Sirius looks confused for a second then nods, he opens a cabinet and takes out two bottle’s of Butterbeer out puts one in front of her. In a house filled with silence the clink of the bottle connecting the table echo’s through the kitchen and Ginny looks up “Why are you awake?” “Nightmare” she nods.

The first night goes like this no one talking, both still thinking about their nightmare’s. The second night Sirius comes first then Ginny enters, a bottle of Butterbeer already waiting for her at the table she sits down and takes a sip, she is looking at him, studying him wondering. Sirius looks at her and asks “What?” “You are not going to ask me?” “Ask you what?” “About my nightmares” He shrugs and says “It’s your decision, if you want to talk about it then you can but if you don’t I won’t mind” She looks at him in surprise but masks it well, after years of people asking her if she was okay or if she wanted to talk about it she was surprised to see a adult telling her it was okay if she didn’t want to talk.

The third night she speaks slowly, telling him about Tom and how he still affected her, how the fear grips her before going to bed every night fearing that if she slept she will see Him again ready to taunt her and tell her that she failed, that she is weak. She tells him that she wonders if she ever was as strong as her family thought she was and when she expresses this to him he just looks at her smiling and says  “You are even stronger than they think you are, if you have the strenght to go to bed every night and face Riddle knowing that you will face him again.”

He tells her about his nightmares too, how he still feels guilty about not being there that night, worrying that he is probably the worst godfather for not being there for harry when he needed him the most and about the terrifying things he saw in Askaban,the name still sending a light chill around his body. Ginny just listens to him not knowing how to comfort someone who has experienced so bone shattering horrors, So she just tells him what a brave man he is and that Harry loves him so much.

Both don’t know what had caused them to open up so much to tell eachother the things that they couldn’t even tell their family. Maybe it was the fact that they were the only ones who knew about the nightmares or the fact that ginny looked up at him as a godfather and sirius as a daughter or maybe it was because of the love they shared for Harry, but whatever it was they were glad that they had it.

- Can you wish for your other 2 wishes to have no consequences knowing thier tricky nature?

Perhaps your plans would not have fitted the pattern and you need to recolour or redraw your piece of the design. You will know when you have it right, because life will feel comfortable and things will flow.”
