How many times has he apologized, only to do it again? The implications are just heartbreaking. Why would anyone hurt this loving golden retriever of a man for just… confessing to his girlfriend? It's not fair that he's so pure and selfless, and this is all he gets from his own dad in return.
Thor pushing away Jane because he believes that he somehow deserves at least some of this abuse makes the whole mess worse.
