i think my “opinion” has changed quite a bit, but mostly because i was a child when i first got into larry. back then, i obviously didn’t have the perspective or understanding to look at any of this beyond “i think these two like each other and there’s something more going on here.” a few years later is when i really started noticing the patterns and looking deeper into everything, although at that point my focus was heavily on management and the industry side of things.

as i’ve gotten older, though, my understanding has become much more nuanced. what i still see at the core of it is the possibility of two queer individuals whose identities and/or relationship have been heavily suppressed and managed for years. whether they’re together romantically today or not doesn’t necessarily erase everything that happened before, and that distinction has become much more important to me as i’ve gotten older.

where my opinion has changed significantly is in how i view the actual relationship itself. when i was younger, i think i had this very idealistic idea that they had been together all these years without ever breaking up, hurting each other, or really experiencing anything beyond the occasional obstacle. i don’t believe that anymore. i don’t think that’s a particularly healthy or realistic way to look at any relationship, let alone one involving two incredibly famous people who have potentially spent 16 years navigating closeting, intense media scrutiny, management, distance, and an enormous amount of pressure. i think there have probably been bumps. i think they could have hurt each other. i think they could have broken up, gotten back together, struggled, changed as people, or experienced periods where things simply weren’t good between them.

so my core belief hasn’t necessarily changed as much as my understanding of it has. when i was nine, my entire perspective was basically “they’re in love 🥺.” now i’m looking at a much bigger picture involving queer identity, celebrity culture, management, privacy, relationships, and the psychological impact of being publicly controlled for years.

What do you think of this new massive "debunk" of our theories?

if this was meant to “derail” larries, it’s a pretty terrible attempt. the whole thing reads like someone swallowed a thesaurus and hoped big words would make their points sound smarter. i got halfway through before i completely lost the plot — not because i’m “not intelligent enough,” as someone might try to say, but because actual articles and dissertations don’t need to be written like a word salad to be understood. with so many new (and younger) larries around these days, most of them won’t get through it either.

it’s a good example of linguistic/persuasive manipulation. in some cases, they’re trying to control the narrative by overwhelming the reader. this is common in “debunks” that rely more on tone than evidence. they want to sound smart, not be right. they’re dressing up their argument in overly complex language to make it sound more legitimate or authoritative than it actually is.

and even looking at it from a non-larrie perspective, a giant “debunk” does… nothing. it doesn’t stop anybody, it doesn’t change anyone’s mind, and i genuinely don’t understand the purpose.

so the only thing i’ll actually say is this

he knows EXACTLY how we feel about no control and how people interpret it……

i also wouldn’t go around making songs like “sunflower” or saying how we should watch the satellite together and sleepwalking/sleep talking knowing that the person you don’t want relationship allegations has songs named sunflower and late night talking AND satellite…knowing that people will connect those certain words to said person 



i get what you’re saying. whether larry is real or not, i think most of us just want louis to be happy and able to live his life on his own terms.

as for the numbers and fans leaving, i’m admittedly not super caught up on all of that, so i can’t really speak on whether it’s happening to the extent people are saying. fandoms also have a tendency to amplify things and make them feel bigger than they are.

but i do think it’s worth remembering that louis has survived a lot over the years. people have been predicting the downfall of his career, saying fans are leaving, saying he’s losing support, saying he’s finished, for what feels like a decade at this point. and yet he’s still here, still making music, still touring, and still connecting with the people who want to be there.

that’s exactly what antis want, though. their entire goal is to make you doubt yourself, to make you second-guess what you’ve seen with your own eyes. they twist things, use guilt tactics, and act like they hold some moral high ground, when really, they’re just uncomfortable with the idea that they might be wrong.

but i’ll be honest — i don’t ever feel bad about being a larrie. not even a little. because i know what i believe in is real. i’ve seen too much, heard too much, felt too much truth in their art, their words, their actions. it’s not just fanfiction or wishful thinking; it’s patterns and parallels that have lasted for years, things that don’t just “happen” by coincidence. there’s too much intention there, too much connection to brush off as delusion. and it’s no different than believing in any other celebrity relationship, except this one challenges how the industry works, and how queerness has been handled within it. that’s why it’s targeted so heavily.

antis can say whatever they want, but they’re not trying to “protect” anyone — they’re trying to silence belief, because belief is powerful. when people believe in something that goes against the narrative they’ve been fed, it threatens the illusion. and the truth is, they don’t like how right we often turn out to be.

the other part of this is that so much of what antis say is rooted in the fact that they refuse to even consider that two men like harry and louis could’ve ever been together. and that refusal says a lot more about them than it does about us. there’s a ton of homophobic undertones in the way they frame things.

not every anti is blatantly homophobic, sure. some are even part of the lgbtq+ community themselves. but internalized bias is real, and a lot of people don’t recognize it in their own thinking. the idea that harry and louis “couldn’t possibly” be together often comes from a place of deeply ingrained disbelief — the kind that still sees queerness as unrealistic or too far-fetched when it comes to people in the spotlight.

(if there has been larry proof recently i haven’t seen it and i think that’s why it’s hard to still believe)

i get it, it can feel so heavy sometimes, especially when the industry keeps stacking things against them. the best advice i can give is to remind yourself why you became a larrie in the first place. go back to the old stuff if you need to—the moments, the history, the things that made you believe to begin with. that foundation hasn’t gone anywhere. and honestly, there is proof these days, it’s just not the obvious kind it was when they were in the band. now it’s all in the subtle notes, patterns, and connections you have to really look for. being a larrie was never meant to be easy, especially when you factor in the closet and the industry—it’s meant to test your patience and your trust.

i can’t think of names off the top of my head, but if you check out this anon my friend lay got recently, she listed some blogs and platforms that are amazing for both new and old larries, and a lot of them share current “proofs” too. it might help to connect with that.

If they were forcibly closeted, they wouldn’t be allowed to drop all the hints and signals. For example, Pleasing wouldn’t use Larry as part of their selling strategy every couple of months if someone didn’t want that connection out there. Harry’s whole solo career is built on him and his team selling the idea of him being queer to the general public. The real fact they’re hiding back is that Harry isn’t queer.

He probably -bent down- for some powerful man in the industry, but plenty of male celebrities have done that while still being straight.
