Any thoughts on the Lanterns tv trailer? I know people are disappointed it’s not “green lantern” enough.
I think people need to stop crashing out about teasers. I guarantee Gunn either has a satisfactory result planned or it’ll be added in post production. So many of these movies and tv shows are scrambling until the very last minute. Sometimes footage you see in a trailer won’t even make it into the movie.
Once the full show is out and people are still unhappy, that’s fine. I was crashing out in the boba fett tag after the finale of his show 😅

Guys, who cares about the Lanterns suit not being a construct. Its not like it's always been a cosntruct, it was a physical suit Pre-Crisis. This is not a 1:1 adaptation, every writer ALWAYS does things differently when it comes to comics characters, especially when it comes to adaptaion and new versions. They wanted to use a more beaten up physical suit as a way to show where Hal is in his career as a Green Lantern, there's precedent for a physical suit in the comics. Who cares. Like its such a stupid nitpick hill to die on. As long as the actual content of the show is good, it literally does not matter whether the suit is a construct or physical. Acting like the showrunners have no idea what they're doing because they made a creative choice you disagree with is stupid. The way people are acting you'd think Chris Mundy personally put on a physical Green Lantern suit and shot their dog. Please shut the fuck up

Alright, so I just watched the teaser for Lanterns and the only real takeaway I had was that they were trying so hard for the reveal that the older guy was in fact Hal Jordan but I sensed it as soon as he was being lectured about not being good at protecting people or whatever. Idk, I was actually kind of excited but this is not giving me a lot of hope.
I saw that some people were frustrated with the Green Lantern suit not looking... Green, (which is valid). But when I rewatched it I had the brightness up loads (I was showing my dad who prefers a brighter screen, whereas I use the lowest brightness with an extra dim filter) and there is green in it, but the lighting doesn't show it properly, so I took a screenshot, played around with the shadows, contrast and saturation in the gallery app and...
*It's still green*
Before editing you can only really see the green on the shoulder.
(I don't know why it's not a construct though, it might be some sort of symbolism for Hal being pressured to step down and let the "substitute teacher" take over, so this might be some sort of mental imagery of it)
