stop saying that greek philia = friendship, as we see everywhere. it's way, way deeper than that. it's when you're bound to another person as if you're two bodies who share a single soul. it's when your hearts are so intrinsically tied to each other for life and death and beyond. but it's also when you shake hands with an ally, when you kiss someone on the forehead, when you joke and laugh with a friend, when you smile fondly to your children, when the gods kindly assist you, when you sleep with someone and still have soft feelings afterwards.
it's not just 'deep friendship', not just 'love', not in a way we can define or describe with our modern language and mindset at least. it's such an astounding concept that it's almost utopian, so deep and meaningful that I honestly can't help but love with all my heart.
