since I suddenly have a lot of free time I’m working on my language learning this summer and I want to get genuinely fluent in Spanish and immerse myself so my first novel I’m gonna read in Spanish will be Don Quixote- which I’m pretty excited to read cause I’ll get to experience it in its original language and it’s always been on my book bucket list
playing dragon age in Spanish is also really great and helpful for immersion, although it was pretty funny that sometimes at work I couldn’t remember how to say ‘spoon’ but I know a sword es una espada en español no problem lmao
I'm back to learning italian and its funny how I remember the most obscure and stupid words, but forgot the basic forms of you, me, they

Me: 四 is my favorite number kanji to write. It’s my little box full of legs.
Me:
Me@myself: what

realizing i have to learn three extra scripts and decouple my understanding of pinyin from taiwanese hokkien in order to get the pronunciation right :) 👍🏼
at this point i think i’m learning atayal as well as taiwanese hokkien. the fact i’m going to have to learn all new orthographies for the hokkien is a bit scary for me though. WILL persevere
My attempts to practice French with Google have yielded mixed results 😕
