//Well it can go without being said, Chelia and Aries would be ‘Super Duper BFFs’. They’d sneak each other huge stacks of sweets, go to Carnivals and Fair Grounds together, have movie nights and sleepovers constantly, have so many inside jokes. They’d be your typical cliché highschool best friends, and they’d love it.

“Aries!” Lucy cried, stepping away from her spirit. “Aries. I…I…”

She didn’t know what’d happened. She had already been having a horrible day; Natsu had “accidentally” set her bed on fire, the job she’d planned to take was gone when she got to the guild hall, and she’d spilled sweet tea all over her skirt at lunchtime.

When she summoned Aries and asked the spirit to attack a target for her on the job she’d ended up taking, Aries failed and the target escaped. Lucy had snapped, her vision flashing white and a swell of pure rage bursting within her. She didn’t remember the thought process, all she knew was a few seconds later Aries was on the ground.

“I’m so sorry, Aries, I don’t know what…I don’t know what happened!” She noticed the tears on her spirit’s face and guilt flooded into her. Her face was wide with horror as she resisted the urge to hug the girl.

“You didn’t do anything wrong, it was all…it was all my fault. I won’t do it again, I’ll n-never touch you again. I’m so, so s-sorry Aries.”

She was starting to break down. The thought of having anything in common with Aries’ past owner, Karen, made her sick to her stomach. She’d sworn she would be a better master, a better person, a better friend. She had failed horribly.

Tears stung at the corners of her eyes as she struggled to explain herself. “Y-you’re my friend, Aries, I screwed up. I s-screwed up…”
