“Thus Fingon found what he sought. For suddenly above him far and faint his song was taken up, and a voice answering called to him. Maedhros it was that sang amid his torment. But Fingon climbed to the foot of the precipice where his kinsman hung, and then could go no further; and he wept when he saw the cruel device of Morgoth. Maedhros therefore, being in anguish without hope, begged Fingon to shoot him with his bow; and Fingon strung an arrow, and bent his bow. And seeing no better hope he cried to Manwë, saying: ‘O King to whom all birds are dear, speed now this feathered shaft, and recall some pity for the Noldor in their need!’”
- The Silmarillion by J.R.R. Tolkien Pp122-123
This one was hard to draw, mountains proved more difficult to paint then I expected but I think it turned out well

The Treachery of Feänor
Finally finished this mammoth painting over the weekend - took 35 hours in total to finish. Complicated backgrounds do indeed be complicated but good practice
Shallan Davar from The Stormlight Archives by Brandon Sanderson
Randomly was doodling and a wild Shallan appeared. Used the opportunity to explore a different shading technique with more focus on hard edges and I rather like how she turned out

Eärendil the Mariner
Managed to sneak one last piece before the end of 2025. I started this one back in October but fell down a crochet rabit hole for the last couple of weeks.

The Silver Lady of Rivendell
A repainting of a portrait of Celebrían I did in 2008 and again in 2017 as a way to see my progress. I’ve learnt a lot in the years since 2017 and I even addd a background! Honestly the improvements between each picture is insane.
14hrs~ in Procreate.
And here’s the three portraits side by side:
Recently started reading the Stormlight Archives by Brandon Sanderson after seeing art from it by my favourite artist. This will be the second book series that artist has gotten me into XD
Luthien Tinuviel
Took a break from my current painting last night to experiment with some digital watercolor brushes I downloaded from Jenny Dolfen's patreon.
Probably not my best and watercolours seem to be my nemesis both digitally and traditionally (yes, I know I started off using watercolours all those years ago 🤣)
Definitely recommend the brush pack though, very easy and straight forward to use. I might dabble some more in digital watercolours in the future but I don't think I'll be switching completely just yet XD
