Iâm glad to know we're not alone in our quest to get healthy! Back in 2008 I gave up white food, meaning no white flour, white rice, potatoes, corn, and sugar. It was hard to do, but I lost around 15 lbs. in about 4 months and I felt a lot better. It was too restrictive though and I couldnât keep it up. The main way I made it through those 4 months was apple slices and natural peanut butter from Trader Joeâs. I still drank diet pop then, but I have been looking for ways to get in shape and save money so pop is going. Giving it up has been really hard. (Thank God for coffee or my husband and I might have killed each other!) I found some water enhancers that are sweetened with stevia and that helps. We bought strawberries, bananas, and apples the other day as a way to still have something sweet but thatâs healthy. We cheated a little last night and had nutella with the strawberries. It was almost too sweet though after not having much sugar for the past week.
