Aw, hello, deary! I've missed you,too! I am back! I'm so sorry to have been in and out so far this season. Between illness that landed me in the hospital, and a crazy busy school schedule (I have 7 papers and 1 exam in the next two weeks!), I haven't had much time to peek in! Thankfully, I've got three awesome crewmates who have been keeping up with you folks!

BUT! Winter break is around the corner. What do y'all say you and I have a Holiday Party?

I doubt he will cry for Judith. It does not make sense. He does not have a connection with that baby to cry.

I don't think it would be so much Judith specifically as much as it would be the joy of seeing one of the impossible survive, or even what could essentially be considered one of them rising from the dead. I'm sure Rick told him about finding the bloody car seat and all signs pointing to Judy being beyond recovery in any sense of the word. If little Asskicker could turn up alive and well, there could be hope for finding others alive and well, too. ^_^

Well, I don't think it's as straight forward as that. SO MUCH will depend on the circumstances of the reunion - where it happens, what's happening around them, if Daryl has seen her from afar etc.  

It is also entirely possible, even if the circumstances were perfect that the lack of a hug could still come over as believable and meaningful. It could be played as awkward and tension filled, because of what has gone on while they were apart, neither sure where the other is emotionally.

I know some fans think Beth has changed his life forever and ever, and he's now an open hugging book, but he seemed to go back pretty quickly to his old ways once Beth was gone. A lot of people expected a Rickly hug, and we didn't get that, but there was no doubt that relationship was solidified on screen.

I think Norman did what he always does, he sits on the fence and gives both hints for and against everything shipping related. Norman is well aware of both the size and the ferocity of his fanbase. He knows people are going to pick apart what he says and apply to their own ships and opinions on the show regardless.

I personally believe that the last interview - and indeed in previous ones recently he is leaning more towards supporting Caryl being canon. In the past he has gone from being on the fence to spouting teasing ‘hints’ about the possibility. In many ways, in some interpretations, he seems to be running with the idea of when Caryl happens. Not if.

Honestly I don’t pay much attention or put much stock in interviews. They are all the same. They dance around the point and people go ape-shit out of cherry-picking allusions and hints from a whole lot of round-about talking.

However, as I said in a previous ask this morning (as per my duties on the USS CARYL blog), it seems to be a natural progression now. In my opinion Bethyl (in romantic terms) doesn’t have the solid foundation and long etched groundwork that Caryl has. They don’t have shared circumstances or the strong basis and connection that Carol and Daryl have formed since season one.
