I just wanted to tell you that I absolutely agree with your text post! I think those people who are now arguing with you reblogged the post from me so I'm sorry if I brought this negativity to your post. But you are right and I hope there's more people who see it that way because Morgan is a compelling character played by an amazing actor and he does NOT deserve to get lucilled. No one deserves this! I think the C/M relationship is beneficial to both characters and I hope we'll see more scenes!
I believe thereās a lot to come for these two as well, and on balance, I have a feeling it will be more positive than negative. Most of the people who reblogged my post (which was just a short personal post) didnāt pay any attention when I responded to them with a more thorough explanation of my annoyance with the fandom.Ā
Donāt apologize! You couldnāt have known that would happen and it gave me a chance to explain myself further which might be a good thing. I donāt know. I hope some people consider what I have to say.
Honestly what annoyed me the most was people who made casual text posts that were were intended to be witty but just came off as cruel, saying things likeĀ āI canāt wait for him to get Lucilledā and things like that. It really bothered me, especially when some of those people were fans of Carol like me, who I thought were very opposed to that kind of violence, especially when almost using it as a joke.Ā
I also dislike how Carol and Carol/Daryl fans tend to get kind of condescending and self-congratulatory. I say that as a fan of both Carol and Carol/Daryl - I have been for years now. But some of us tend to be kind of rude and dismissive when we respond to things, probably because weāve had to deal with so much BS over the years...just wish they wouldnāt be so condescending even to people within their own fandom. :/ You donāt facilitate constructive discussions that way.Ā
