So i finally watched it. Did they mention where Lisa had gone ? I guess I missed that. It was good to hear from Katie but I hope she's more redeeming next episode. I found her annoying and sassy.. I guess she has reason to be.

Yeah, it was a little strange that the mom was the one setting everything up.  Maybe there was a deleted scene of David and Jess talking about things more in-depth than what we got in the episode.  I think it was all a set-up anyway and I doubt the mom actually would have let the two get married considering she doesn’t seem to approve of Jess.  I’m sure the report was just a very thorough background check which doesn’t seem all that strange given how rich and powerful the family is.  Of course they’d want to check into who their son is interested in even if it crosses the line.
