Did anyone else notice how Kyle’s entire friend group died in at most a few weeks?
Max: Kyle didn’t really like him that much but surely Kyle was important to Max, otherwise why would Max keep Kyle as a cool kid when Kyle talks back to him on occasion? (I’m referring to Kyle asking why on earth Max would want to date Grace after being punched in the nose by Max.) This could also imply that they have known each other on some type of level for a while now. (Also during pro shot versions of literal monster, it kinda feels like it focuses on Max and Kyle? Definitely way more on Max but Kyle’s also right by Max’s side or interacting with Max.) I don’t know? They seem oddly close, especially because Jason was there with them but it felt like it was more about the two of them.
Richie: They were semi friends but Kyle definitely seemed more interested in being a cool kid than being friends with Richie. How ever, even after everything, they’re still on good terms.
Ruth: They don’t interact but I can only assume that due to how close of friends Ruth and Richie are, that Kyle would have at least had a conversation with her before. (Or want to. I’ll get more into that later.)
Jason: Is most likely Kyle’s best friend. Probably only friends with Max because Kyle was and got rapped up in the bullying.
2 weeks later. The big game
Richie is found dead in the locker room.
Ruth found dead on the school’s stage.
A little while has passed. Max is confirmed dead, having also been brutally killed. After Prom.
Right now Kyle has Brenda, Stacy and Steph. Now Kyle has no chance to make up to Ruth and Richie for making the last few years of their lives a miserable hell. Knowing that he could have done something. But didn’t. And actually made it worse. And now he’s scared that Jason, possibly his best friend, to be found brutally killed like his other friends. Now there’s a high possibility how him coming to the same fate as his friends.
I don’t know about you guys but that sounds super harsh in my opinion.
