Art grows with you. You get older, wiser, your life experiences change, your feelings change, your view of the world change... and it shows in your art. It's something you have inside of you, you can't learn that. I think this is something unique, compared to, let's say musicians or athletes.

In sport, you can say someone is a better athlete than the others. It's not possible to do that in art. There's no "better", there's just "different". 

For example, look at the paintings of Leonardo da Vinci and Claude Monet. Paul Rubens and Vasilij Kandinsky. Pablo Picasso and Salvador Dali. You can't say someone is "better" than the other. They're just different. Different people from different times with a different style. 

Even when two people would paint the same thing, both would do it in a different way. Because every person is unique, even identical twins and conjoined twins  have different personalities and are two different persons, with different feelings and life experiences. It's possible to copy other people's style, but it's still not the same. 

Your art reflects your unique personality. If your personality change, your art change too.
