Dazzling antique furisode (probably a bridal one, or kakeshita), with busy and colorful goshodoki (all season flowers and ancient Heian court items). The hina-ningyo (dolls) are so cute!
New Kusudama Complete: Sakura III
I don't think I've shared my crafts here except when they're in the background of tea photos.

dug out my unfinished projects/patterns box and found this pattern. I didn't like that it had an irregular fold at the end that quadruples the thickness so I modified the pattern so the tucked edge wasn't folded over (original left and center, modification right). The result is more of the brown/pattern side and less white. You can see a full 3,5 symmetry 30 piece kusudama below left.
A pentagon forms a flat plane but I experimented a bit and with a prefold you can make a 4 piece unit that tents which might create a more spherical piece but I'm tired of folding these so I'll figure it out another time (someone else please try and show me the results. I also made the spikey 30 piece kusudama on the right. this was totally the wrong paper. I used a thicker paper and it was a terrible choice, it's too fragile and there's tons of little tears along the seams and fold lines.
Here's some protopytes from the project box I made out of my middleschool/highschool printouts.
