"Mother slipped in a small pile of melted ice cream near the medical section near closing on thanksgiving. Immediately she screamed out in pain, as her ankle twisted. A minute later the new manager just waltzed on over like my mother was an inconvenience, and after accessing the situation she asked in the most monotone voice, "Do you want me to call you an ambulance?" She said this multiple times without variation and without any further aid, like she was a robot on a script, before I eventually went and got a chair for my mom to grapple onto, then eventually sit on.
Manager did not feel incentivized to fill out a incident report, and recently, to my knowledge, found out she didn't even imput it into the system, and had someone else do it, who then had her injuries on the wrong side of her body, as well as removing the part were she.. "hurt" her ankle, to say the least.
Me and my mother thought she would be covered by the company after that was filed so she could go to the doctor, but when we went Krogers wouldn't pick up with the number given to us, from what I understand. So now she had to pay for the visit, and I think it was a.. orthopedic that we had to cancel? She was going to see a doctor afterwards to see the nooks and crannies I assume, but regardless she can't afford it now and the nurses say we can't use our insurance because we fell in Krogers.
That manager relatively recently went up to my Father, the head of dairy, and was told to tell my Mother "how it is". Very unprofessional and very inappropriate, as if my Dad didn't have enough to work with. Funny thing about that! Almost everytime my Dad finally takes a break from work, whenever he gets back, the dairy around the yogurt/cheese is always a mess, almost as if no one is even assigned there.
TL;DR: There's a Dollar Store down the road by Lowes."
