It’s finally time for claiming! Please read all of the following instructions carefully so that the claiming process won’t be too confusing:

➳ How to Claim a Prompt:

一 (1): Check out our prompt archive to see all the prompts that have been sent in. Make sure you pick out a few that you’d be okay with writing in case your favorite is already claimed. If you’re interested in self-prompting, please read the self prompting instructions below.

二 (2): Head over to our claiming form and follow the instructions there on how to fill it out.

三 (3): Wait for a confirmation email from us. Confirmation emails may take up to 24 hours to arrive. (We’re doing this all manually, so please be patient!)

四 (4): That’s it. You’re done. You’re free to start writing/drawing/creating!

➳ How to Self-Prompt:

一 (1): Fill out the self prompting form here.

二 (2):  Wait for a confirmation email from us. Confirmation emails may take up to 24 hours to arrive. (We’re doing this all manually, so please be patient!)

三 (3): That’s about it. You’re free to start writing/drawing/creating!

➳ Some things to note:

➵ You may claim only one prompt at a time. A new prompt may be claimed after a submission for the first prompt is received. The same applies for self-prompts, too.

➵ If you’re doing a collaboration for a prompt, there will be an additional section you will need to fill out on the google form (that you will be automatically directed to if you click the appropriate checkbox.)

➵ Each prompt may be claimed once in each medium: once as a fanfiction and once as a fanart. Essentially, there are two slots open for each prompt, one as a fic prompt and one as a fanart prompt. A solo participant may choose to claim both slots for any one prompt by indicating the “both” option on the form. This is because both the fic slot and the art slot belong to the same prompt, and we only place restrictions on the claiming of multiple prompts at once. If a writer/artist collaboration team claims the prompt, then that will count as both slots being filled for that prompt.

➵ Fanedits (ex. manips) do count as fanarts! As such, the fanart slot for a given prompt will be marked as claimed on the archive.

➵ Claiming closes December 14th, but this is for first prompt claims. If you’re planning on submitting multiple works, you must claim your first prompt by December 14th. Additional claims can be made past December 14th, but again, you must have submitted your first work before claiming another prompt. The same applies for self-prompts. Think of December 14th of more like a deadline to sign-up for kissfanxing.

➵ Claiming is done on a first-come, first-served basis. As such, we ask you to list multiple prompts you’d be okay with fulfilling, just in case your first choice has been claimed by someone else.

➵ Please be patient when waiting for confirmation emails. We’ll try to get emails out as fast as we can, but please remember it may take up to 24 hours before we can get around to confirming your claim.

➵ Please remember we DO NOT allow the following themes in fanworks: Non-consensual sex, domestic abuse, sexual assault, incest, pedophilia/underage sex

➵ Additional information will be provided in the confirmation emails, so keep an eye out for those!
