This was a piece I really connected to at Culture Shock's East Coast Dance Concert this past weekend ...
Coming from a technical dance background and then finding hip-hop movement later in my training, I always enjoy and respect artists who are able to infuse different techniques together and do it well.
Dance should not be put in a box. It is everywhere and in everything we do. When you walk ... you walk to rhythmic beat of your purpose in that moment.
Lyrical Hip-Hop ... There really is no definition for this style but I personally think it's where you dig deep and expose the depth of your soul through performance ... Ooey. Gooey. And Honest.
