coughs… can I request more lore/art/anything on Milo’s driver? He is so cool hehe
I lowkey do not have much art of him atm 😭🙏 but I do have LOREEE
He’s married to Eleanor, she has an adopted kid named Elise, so he technically became a dad when they got married. They met in Firefly Foundations and worked together a long time before they ever got feelings for one another. They’re lowkey both very deadpan people so they don’t outwardly show affection for one another but they do love each other deeply!
In present day Elise is dead, due to reasonssss, and it kind of broke both of them for a long time, Edison got really suicidal but Eleanor is what made him never go through with it. He’s still not really the same due to what happened, and neither is Eleanor. Their relationship is a little more strained but they both know they have no one else that knows each other the same way so they’re still together despite it all.
He kind of had beef with Murphy (founder of FF, Milo’s dad..) because he was a huge asshole and Edison wouldn’t deal with his bullshit, he’s shocked he didn’t get fired tbh. Sometimes he and Eleanor would babysit Milo as he was a kid at the time, and Elise and Milo would have play dates, they were close childhood friends. Edison and Eleanor could really tell he has some bad shit happen to him with his dad (but couldn’t do anything about it due to Murphy being their boss). In present day he still kind of views Milo as a little baby and does not see him fit as the new person running the entire foundation he works for. Milo tries to not be too close with Edison but Edison doesn’t gaf and constantly gives him advice or whatnot. Edison tries to be a father figure towards Milo but Milo just does not want to put his facade down around anyone so it’s hard for them to truly have a bond. Edison deep down really wants what he had like with Elise again and is using Milo to cope with it all, but Milo won’t give that to him, and Milo DEFINITELY won’t talk about Elise with him.
Another smaller note Edison used to work in bigger parts of the field, like the full on mafia killing shit, but as he got older and couldn’t do that all he just decided to be Milo’s driver and do smaller tasks that help Milo. Milo still pays him the same even if it isn’t as much work. Oh! Here’s Eleanor and Elise, I need to update their designs badly lol
Nikola Tesla designed and built super-efficient LED lights based on diodes similar to what they contain today, but was not able to patent the design because Thomas Edison, to protect sales for his own rival tungsten light bulb, paid Merriam C. Webster to define a diode as "a type of deviant pornography involving the scrota of ten or more ferrets."
