More Than Friends Ep 6 - The boy who cried wolf (spoilers)
Oof, that was a softly intense episode.. I love the parallel LS drew between himself and the boy.
Starting with friendships again, repetitive ik but I do like the way theyre portraying the friends. JJ and WH fought and made up in the same episode which I loved, and it was coming together for their friend. That was just nice to see really. Following that, the when LS was in the hospital and the chef (im sorry can't remember his initials), I liked to see some positive male friendships, feel like 1/2 the time they either don't exist or can be toxic.
In this one we really saw just how similar LS and JS, especially when they were both getting ready for their dates with WY it was just ironic really. Their similarities are shown after LS accepted and realised his feelings.
Onto LS feelings, ooooooooo it was good, watching him finally get it, and the importance of him taking her photograph. Because he only realised after he'd taken it, as if it were instinct. I loved afterwards his confirmation and then his body language change towards her, the facing her completely in the car, and the piercing he took out after WY said she didn't like it (lol that scene and his reaction). Devasted at the ending for him. But boy, he deserved it. The scene with his parents and flash back to them being 'friends' explained a lot, think that's why the word "friend" is such a trigger to him. It a signal something is ending. I thought I was gonna hate you at the end of the episode when you went through what happened that day and you were going to blame them for why you couldn't confess, but I was pleasantly surprised when you realised its your fault it happened because you've realised your feelings to late, dont procrastinate anymore!!!! Its nice to see you've grown a bit. (Feel like song below describes LS well?)
JS, i swore I wouldn't fall for you but damn you're making it tough. Confess to me with books any time and I'd be yours. That was so sweet and really showed his love of literature and job (again I feel like we rarely see a lead who seems to genuinely enjoy his job and acts on his love of it -correct me if I'm wrong). I liked that he didn't force WY to answer, or pressure her. Just said let's try, this was a nice contrast to LS. All the quotes to me where what WY would write in calligraphy, which suggests he gets it (LS also seems to get this after the arcade and view scene)
LS, you got some mad competition. He also totally embodied the "im a moody teen" in the flash back which made me grin. I weirdly find myself laughing at his overconfidence and then WYs put downs.
WY, I was so annoyed at you for going to Namsam tower.. but I knew it was gonna happen. I feel like she's growing slightly but I want to see more as she dates the CEO (which is looks like in the next ep). Shes getting over LS slowly and then he does shit that confuses her... so she's a tad lost.
Okay, last comments on the side couple, oooooo I get both sides, I pity the both of them, please god don't break up. It was nice to see after the money thing they both reaffirmed st they love each other but are doing somethings that hurt each other, WH has really had a number done to her by her parents attitudes towards each other even in death, and her mums pressuring her to get married was something else, that entire scene I was hurting for her. Think all the parents have done a number on their kids in this series..
So a slice of life with a bit more drama, can't want to see what happens now between the boy, LS, and the wolf, JS. (Not sure how WY fits into this analogy). But it was nice to see LS getting angry and actually talking to WY about how he feels for once. I hope we see more. Because I'm sorry JS we know what's gonna happen.
(Also idk why ive suddenly started doing these review thingys ive got enough going on without doing these as well... 😂, should I keep going?)
