Skdksjs sorry, but like I’m getting sucked into the way Lauren Graham and Peter Krause’s relationship was like fate coming together bc they’ve talked about the fact that they met in the 90s when he did an episode of Caroline In the City where she had a recurring role. And in interviews she’s mentioned that during that time he helped her move furniture into her apartment, and also invited her over to play board games once.
In another old interview she said she thought then that he might have been interested in her at the time, but that she wasn’t into his “type”- she assumed he was one of those “handsome actor types” who just really liked getting attention from women (which she mentioned in her book before telling the story of the adorable thing at the SAG awards in 2002- when they were presenting an award together, and after making some small talk backstage, he asked her if she wanted to hold hands as they walked across the stage to the podium; and they did. I guess it made her change her previous assumptions about him, but she said she didn’t see him again after that for years).
Then in an interview a few years ago, Kelly Bishop was talking about how one time, back in the Gilmore Girls era, Lauren was upset about another one of her relationships ending and that she thought there was no one out there for her. and Kelly says in the interview that she thinks Lauren is too smart for all the guys she’d dated. So she suggested to her one day that Peter Krause seemed like he’d be a good match, and Lauren told her that she knew him, but that he wasn’t single at the time.
And then like fast forward to 2010 and Lauren and Peter reconnected on the set of Parenthood, and now they have been together for 11 years. Like aww what a love story.
And Lauren said that she doesn’t remember even having that conversation with Kelly about him.
