This is coming from a k-pop fan annoyed with the kpop industry and related to a Lngshot member. I personally agree with your take on Jay Park but I feel like by included Lngshot in your talk about Jay Park was very open for people to take it the wrong way. Like regardless at the end of the day everybody has a right to an opinion that doesn't make you an asshole. But I feel like you should word things differently next time because things can easily bring uninvited hate.
Thank you for the ask.
I can understand your perspective and I do agree I could've worded things better. I didn't think anyone would take it in a bad way. But that was my bad. I am sorry.
I do want to make this very clear. I have no animosity towards Lngshot. My feelings on Jay Park are separate from the group. I want them to be successful in their journey.
Once again, I'm sorry.
do you like the kpop fandoms you are in?
hi anon!! omg this is such a random question but i love it
1. engenes
well... some of them can be really really insufferable, mostly on tiktok, and i think since heeseung left this worsened. however enhypen is the group that i listen to like a LOT but dont really keep up with the fans and stuff if this makes sense, so personally it isnt horrible. im not saying i love being associated with them but i dont hate it either
2. lunés
i really dont want to get cancelled for this because i have a lot of luné moots here, but one thing i really dislike about this fandom is how much some of the fans baby the idols😭 i feel like some lunés are reeking of prasocialism and while im joking when i say most stuff about the members, sometimes i wonder if others are joking too or they REALLY mean some of the stuff they say ... i would say i like being a luné just as much as i like being an engene. love the music, tolerate (a specific side!!!!!! of) the fandom
3. moas
i LOVE being a moa. txt has been my comfort and ULTult group, and the fandom adds up to it. i feel like most people in this fandom are pretty similar and it makes me feel like im really home, or idk how to say this. everybody is funny and chill and its like a breath of fresh air, they don't want fan service from the idols or stupid things like that and they aren't parasocial (most of them)
these are my main three!! i do like other kpop groups too and i listen to a lot lot lot LOT of girl groups (these three groups are the only bgs i like lately) but i dont keep up with the fandoms so i cannot speak on that :)
“Concerning level of violence” Are you 12? It is not that bad. It’s got pg13 levels of violence at worst
....I'm not going to do my usual schtick here except for: All I say is my opinion. If you disagree, it's not my business.
With that being said. First off; I will be 24 next month. I'm old..
Second, this gives the same vibes as someone being called a pervert for rightly questioning and criticizing the sexualization of young idols.
I have watched this MV more than I'd like both for the review and this response. And I still probably have to watch it a few more times at the end of the year. But I digress.
Let me list the examples of violence in the MV. In the first 40 seconds of the MV, Le Sserafim go off the road and flip over, then there's Sakura being pushed into an open grave as it transitions to ILLIT, then there's the teeth pulling scene with Wonhee.
Then Megan nearly has her head taken off by a stage sign and Lara knocking Yoonchae down, the tornado sequence and finally the fiery finale.
You can think I'm too concerned or whatever but I feel like this is a lot for an MV about saying fuck the haters. I understand that a lot of it is probably just visual metaphors but that doesn't mean it's not excessive.
Also, I'm not the only one who called this out, I saw several comments on Instagram and YouTube talking about how there was a weird level of violence in the MV teasers when they dropped.
I just feel like this isn't a good thing for their younger fans to watch. And if that makes me boring, whiny, or paranoid that's fine. It's my opinion.
But all in all, even if this isn't super excessively violent, the implication makes it seem more concerning than not. That's the point I'm making here.
hihi would love it if you could flood my inbox with your requests

What do you not like about WDA? I think it’s a really good song, I just wish it was longer
Hello Anon! Thank you for the question.
Before I begin I want to reiterate this; these are MY personal OPINIONS. You don't have to agree with me if you don't want to.
With that being said let's begin.
I have given my initial thoughts on WDA in a review earlier. You can find it on my blog if you're interested, but I will try to further elaborate on my thoughts.
I personally think that Aespa's biggest asset as a group are their vocals and visuals. Their raps are okay and their choreo kinda needs background dancers or edits to look really good...
Unfortunately this song is a melodic talking track on a grungy industrial beat. I don't think that they can really pull of the technique necessary to do melodic talking well...I don't think many idols could so that's not just an Aespa problem.
The G-Dragon feature...I've already said all I really wanted to about it. I do think the timing of the release could've been better...but it's not the groups fault...
I have seen the MV a few times now and honestly..if it didn't have the AI slop in it...It could have been interesting. I like the concept of the world becoming uncanny and distorted..the problem is that in every single scene there's some semblance of AI bullshit.
Aespa genuinely have some incredible MV's From Black Mamba to Super Nova, Savage, Drama Armageddon..I could honestly go on. But ever since Dirty Work something feels off with them.
I can't tell if it's just classic SM Sabotage or something else..but I really hope that they can figure out how to get back on track.
I hope this makes sense.
Feel free to ask more questions. I like answering them.
What’s happening with woozi????
From my basic understanding during his enlistment he was asked by a higher up to get a famous singer to perform at his wedding as a favor. Woozi did it and it has people concerned.
People are rightfully calling it out as predatory.
It's a lose lose situation. If he said no he probably would have been punished and if he said yes people were probably going to attack him for using his status.
Favors are never JUST favors when you are in the military, ESPECIALLY as a celebrity.
For the kpop game: 6, 8 and 23 please :)
Hello, darling!
6. Song I would never skip: oh gosh, I very very rarely skip songs, but if I had to name a song that I don't think I'll ever not be in the mood for… libidO by OnlyOneOf, and back to me by The Rose (one day I will get to sing it with thousands of strangers at a concert, and it will fix me)
8. First group I stanned: @hotasfahrenheit was working overtime with kpop homework in 2022, and I kinda fell into kpop all at once, but I think the thing that really sealed the deal for me was Guerilla by Ateez, and then I watched everything they'd done up to that point in like, 2 days.
It was definitely an all at once situation, where I quickly tumbled into being obsessed with far too many groups, but Ateez was the first one that grabbed me (followed a few days later by NCT, skz, monsta x, OOO…)
And they haven't let go since!
23. Idol I would be besties with: I think there are a lot of idols that would be super fun to hang out with, but I'm not sure there are any that I'm like “we would get along” about, but I think Chan and I would pretty easily find things to talk about, and Taemin would be delightful in general. I would love to be gay and judgemental with Holland. I would sell a toe to be able to be friends with Jackson Wang and DPR Ian – or just to be able to be in the room while they talk and watch them like:
Also, Jiwoong would have excellent stories to tell.
Also also, any idol who has ever been compared to a cat, we could be besties.
(I have never thought about who would make sense to be besties with, but I sure will go ahead and use this as an excuse to be delulu for a bit)
Thanks for the ask! Questions here!
