Korulein is a vampire (canon), so i imagine she's been around imperia since solev first was elected into power - she's been their butler for YEARS, like 30 yrs or so, just this constant presence. (as a sidenote i also think demons are basically ageless, which is why solev and alltiera seem so Unchanged after such a long reign)

but this means she was also around to help raise the kids, edmund and victoria, while they were both in imperia! dedicating herself to teaching them proper manners and behavior befitting the imperian image. (though she's secretly a softie. she'd make plushies and sweets for them and pull them out of classes just to have recess and fun days)

she mourned victoria's death almost as much as solev and alltiera did, but she didn't linger on it. solev said he'd use project lazarus to bring her back one day, and korulein is so dedicated and devoted to him that she believes it 100%.

she reminisces though. before victoria died and edmund was sent to bootcamp / abroad studies for his safety, imperia'd actually had a rather mild relationship with the districts. like, the family could go visit them and do fun things (swing on jungle vines, have snowball fights, build sand castles...) without any issue at all. and she misses that and wants "that imperia" back more than anything, just like solev does. so she keeps that all locked deep in her heart to push her further in her dedication, into her own love of imperia and of solev's family itself.

I had no idea that she was a vampire in canon!! The concept of a vampire serving the same master for 30 years while the vampire doesn't age a day but the master grows old.. SOMEONE cooked here

AWW Korulein is the best auntie, pulling them out of classes to have fun days awhhh

I would imagine that Korulein moves on from deaths a bit faster than everyone else, seeing as how she has most likely experienced so many more deaths being a vampire and all (extended lifespan)
