i started watching spartacus house of ashur without having seen any of the first show or knowing what to expect. i am watching it for Gay purposes ofc. I didn't know if i could hang in there with this style of dialogue jfc but the scottish guy does a really good job of it and so does achillia. the violence is also not quite my taste but i can see why people of different tastes would like it. anyway when is this going to happen?

Star Trek The Next Generation "Heart of Glory"
I think one of the things that Spartacus does so well is depictions of friendship, specifically between men. The original series had so many great dynamics, and in House of Ashur i am so enthralled by Ashur and Korris. They keep saying theyre not friends but their actions speak differently. From Ashur in tos never being able to count on anyone and Noone trusting him (for good reason) to having a partnership in this series that is so foundational to the show and to who he is is such a difference but I am so here for it.
I love that Ashur and Korris are like “I loathe you” while being two seconds away from wearing friendship bracelets
