The radar system in Hokotae, Kuwhara begins to go haywire. Millions of insects begin to swarm towards the island from Korlan. Insect migration isnât unusual at this time of year, especially with the Motyel Moth from the island of Chormen migrating to southern Ramisola annually to mate. However, there has never been this many flying to Hokotae before.
Nothing was visible on radars due to the swathes of insects flying over the island. Not even the Korlanic ships which had surrounded the island a month prior were visible anymore. This caused panic around the military base located on HÄrÄ.
To ease the panic of his soldiers, Admiral Adelisio Carnesecca, the top ranking official on the island of Hokotae, put the extreme amount of insects up to the increased breeding that has been reported in the past few years. However, this was not the case, as the Korlanic Chemical and Entomological Warfare Division (KCEWD), located at Fort Tataromoa, had been planning this attack for a little over a month.
The KCEWD developed a machine that produced a high frequency sound that causes insects of all species to flee from it. These machines were placed all across Korlan and activated one by one in order to send millions of insects to Hokotae to disrupt the radars.Â
And then the ground started to shake beneath Carneseccaâs feet. The Korlanic navy had begun to bombard the island. They used the insects to cloak their own advances against the low populated coasts on the eastern end of the island.Â
The Tuxhullian navy also began to bombard the island, attacking from the western end of the island. The Tuxhullians arrived a week prior in Äina and prepped for this invasion.Â
The Tuxhullians made the first landing, successfully getting onto the island at 5 am. The Korlanic military landed shortly after at around 6 am. Casualties on the first day were around 800 total. A majority being landing troops from Korlan and Tuxhul.
Both the Korlanic and Tuxhullian troops have made substantial progress in their invasion, securing the coasts before a bulk of the military on Hokotae arrived. With the coasts now secured, more troops from both Korlan and Tuxhul have begun to arrive at the island. The Global Effective Militia (GEM) located in Ailou has also been deployed to the island, with several troops from all across the Allied Effective taking part in the fighting for the island.
Korlan has increased its naval presence around the island, attempting to block out any aid coming to the island, however it is still early in the invasion and the Vauâsenaan government has not officially responded.Â
The Korlanic air force has begun to bombard the island from the skies, providing much needed aid to the troops below. Troops from the major cities of Hokotae have begun to arrive at the front lines and the fighting has reached a stalemate.
Casualties on the second day were around 18,500 total. With 8,000 being Vauâsenaan troops, 6,500 being Tuxhullian and 4,000 being Korlanic.
The Korlanic government has authorized gas attacks against the 3 major cities on Hokotae. With the absence of a majority of the military due to the invasions, civilians were left mostly defenceless to the attacks. The small forces that remained in the major cities were unable to successfully repel the attacks from the Korlanic air force.
The Korlanic nuclear silos have also been armed and are prepared to launch at a moment's notice as a precaution against Vauâsena, which has demonstrated its negligence when it comes to nuclear warfare.
Korlanic and Tuxhullian troops continue to arrive at the front lines from Korlan. Korlan has sent out submarines to prevent the Vauâsenaan navy access to the Kuata Strait. More Korlanic ships have begun arriving at the island.
Another landing was made on Hokotae at the southern coast. This landing was made by the Korlanic military, with backup from the GEM. This landing was the closest landing to the largest city in Hokotae, known as HÄrÄ. Several Gerzonian hunters were present at this landing, making the very little resistance much easier to take out.Â
The southern and eastern landing teams have met up. Half the eastern team is prioritizing attacks on the two northern cities, while the southern team and the rest of the eastern team focus on meeting up with the western team and taking over HÄrÄ.

Green: July 8th Landings
The current battle is in a stalemate. The western landing team has closed in on HÄrÄ, however the resistance from the city is major, though the southern team is closing in on the city as well. The eastern team has met strong resistance from the two northern cities on Hokotae as well, though hopes for reinforcements are high.
The status of Hokotae as of July 8, 2053.
Casualties on the third day were about 76,520. A majority of which came from Vauâsenaan civilians experiencing gas attacks. 40,000 Vauâsenaan civilians, 15,000 Vauâsenaan troops, 12,000 Tuxhullian troops and 9,500 Korlanic troops. Approximately 20 other Allied Effective troops were reported dead.
