Hi people! I'm interested in everyone's theories regarding Kochanski's actor change :D dunno if this has been discussed on here before but I was thinking about this alot today during my shift lmao. Just deciding what I believe 😅 (I love how I'm talking about this as if it's a religion)
I, and apparently a lot of other people on reddit according to a Google search, believe the Inquisitor theory. (I do not have reddit. It wants me to verify my age and I couldn't be assed). My partner mentioned this theory to me and I have to agree! I just love it XD
The Inquisitor obviously replaces people with the better versions of themselves if he doesn't believe they have reached their full potential, however Lister and the crew reverse this and brings everyone who was ever changed back (in theory). So, the original Kochanski was the one that was replaced! And the New Kochanski is the actual original one. This theory would also explain why Lister goes from never having much conversation with her and having NO chance whatsoever to suddenly having had dated her. This is actually quite a parody on good Lister lmao, since the Kochanski that would've dated him got replaced "for not reaching her full potential". I'm sorry for ranting I just absolutely love this theory.
So, what do you think? Do you think it was all just Lister's faulty memory after a while of being alone in deep space? Or do you think it was a whole multiverse thing where she just looked different in her dimension?
