After falling on my knee back in Sept 2019 at work, which I still have pain and more frustrating my knee gives out and is unstable. It doesn’t feel like there is any support there, just kinda feels like it’s raw bone on raw bone. And my knee just goes and drops, even with making it stronger with PT.
Is my older sister insisting that I just need to lose weight and it’s because I’m too fat. If I lose weight that will take the strain off my knee and it will work just fine.
Which just makes me want to punch her.
It’s not like I haven’t been to several doctors, physical therapists, and chiropractors. Add on to the all the research I have done for myself. That they would know what they are talking about or I wouldn’t know my own body. But apparently none of that is to be listen to.
I have been told many times by medical professionals and from my own research that my weight doesn’t factor in like she thinks it does. I have told her several times, but she clings to the fact that it’s my fault and if I just clean up my act it will work in my favor.
Sure it would help to lose the weight, but my other knee works just fine and has no problems holding me up. I have done enough research to find that when knee cartilage is fucked, it’s fucked for good unless helped is given. My chiropractor once told me that even if I was a hundred pounds, my knee would still collapse because it’s damaged.
But what would the patient know over her sister who wants to put it all on my weight and refuse to listen to a thing I say.
