The main four characters, the members of Kill Me If You Can, are actually loosely based on entertainment industry archetypes that I have seen.
- Charli is the kind of musician who seems to be involved in a new scandal every week. Lost in who she really is, she surrounds herself with the "gifts" of fame– alcohol, drugs, sex. Fans excuse her problematic ways, and critics harass her for her mistakes.
- Nicki, despite her fame, still maintains her genuineness and humility. But her kindness forces fans to question her true intentions– she seems to deserve hate the least, yet she recieves the most. The pressure to please everyone is her greatest enemy.
- Dale became a musician to share music, not to become famous. He's the kind of lyricist who puts his demons into a song, but will never confront them, trying (and failing) to remain hidden from the public eye and the stress of fame.
- Blake is "the idiot", "the face", "the carefree one"- the kind that forced himself into fame in fear of being forgotten. He's so much more than what he shows, but the messy side doesn't sell. Scars don't make people laugh.
