kleb (Akiridian; fandom) No IPA an expletive from the fictional language Akiridian from Tales of Arcadia; crap
Ah, kleb!
So you know how Akiridions use the word 'kleb' as some kind of curse when they're mildly inconvenienced? It's pretty much like the humans' common curses/swears, so 'kleb' must be a way of the Akiridions saying for example the F or S word, or even alternative words to replace swears (e.g. crap).
What's funny is that Krel is given the name 'DJ Kleb' and I can't stop thinking about how that may be the equivalent to 'DJ [Insert F word here]'.
What do you think is closest/most likely swear word equivalent for "kleb"?
As someone who, for whatever reason, never really picked up the knack for swearing, my real-life invective vocabulary is sadly limited.Ā Nevertheless, I headcanonĀ āklebā as closest toĀ āshitā - maybe your parents will get on your case if you say it in front of them, maybe they wonāt, is in really common usage regardless. Also, it can be used as both a positive or a negative.Ā āklebtasticā seems to be a good thing, otherwise Krel wouldnāt need to sound so sarcastic when he says it sometimes. And while I donāt thinkĀ āshit-tasticā andĀ āawesomeā are really synonymous, we can say that something isĀ āthe shitā and it means itās really really cool.I think this post just doubled the number of times Iāve saidĀ āshitā in my entire life. Well, no, maybe just a 25% increase. I feel like I should swear more (could swear more?), but I never picked up the habit and by now Iāve got something of a reputation as a person who doesnāt swear (but doesnāt mind if other people do) so that whenever I do swear it becomes a BIG DEAL, Arch IS NOT PULLING PUNCHES, and that means that I canāt drop it casually without people wondering at the sudden and serious turn the conversation has taken. This whole tangent is so completely not 3Below or kleb related, but I swear so infrequently that I can usually remember specific instances, e.g. fall, 2015 when conversing with a friend, who was describing what someone else had done, and I said that that personās behavior was really shitty.Ā
I sometimes take refuge in fictional swears, dāarvit, because then I donāt get tied in gorram knots over-thinking every kriffing detail, thatās so moded. kleb.Ā
