“Leo stared into the mirror, pulling down his eyelid. It was sort of hard to look at the things you used to see, but he peered at his irises as best he could. The whites of his eyes were normal besides the red of the capillaries, and his irises were a lighter shade of blue compared to his father’s. Nothing he hadn’t known for two decades.
He paused, brow furrowing. As he stared, he noticed something… weird. Off? His pupils, not becoming slits or glowing or anything cliche like that. Instead they were sort of just… navy. A darker shade of his irises instead of pure black. He blinked, looking up at the light and then back to make them contract.
They didn’t. At all.
